Nora's POV:
"Nora.......Nora wake up...............Nora you must get up"." Uuuugh. What is it Hax?" I say.
" Sorry, but you have to start getting up earlier, School starts in just 3 days." He replies.
I begin to fumble out of bed. By now I've lost all track of what day it is. For the past 2 weeks I've bin playing the new release of the game Destiny: Taken King Expansion Pack in hopes of beating it before school starts next week. My light level is finally over 350 and the Taken King has bin defeated. So finally, I am content. Just walking to the window of my room has become a challenge surprisingly. I've bin siting for so long I thought I forgot how to walk again. Not to mention my room is now a complete mess. I'm usually not the messiest of people, but when that game came out, every ounce of my being went into playing it. Which meant letting myself go until it was done. Examining the floor of my room, I finally see all the damage that I had done. Clothing is all over the floor, the sheets on my bed are totally misplaced, and I think there might be something alive in the pizza box in the corner.
"Hax? When did I order pizza?" I question to the computer to my desk.
"I have but the slightest idea. It must of bin when you were doing repairs on me last week." He replies.
"Oh ye, now I remember. By the way, why does it look like something is alive in their?" I ask.
"Hmm...My scanning of your room seem to show another life form. Possibly a mouse." He said.
"Gross!!" I shrieked. "I thought I programmed you to help me with anything like that?" I said.
"Hey, there's only so much a computer program like me can do." Hax replied.
It may look like a tornado went through my room, but nonetheless less, I still have to clean before I go to school starts.
---------5 hours later--------
At 1pm I fall on my finally made bed and I just stare at the ceiling. In my head I think of all the things I can do right now. I'm done with my chores and I have 3 days to spare. I could play another game, sleep, get some more pizza (Hopefully with no mice :P). Above all, I wanted something that would prevent me from having to go to school on Monday. If there is one thing I hate the most in this world it's people. I've never bin good at talking to anyone. Game characters and people online are the closest I have come to really human interaction in a long time. Video Games are one of the only things I have. At the age of 3 I got my first console which was the Nintendo 64 System. Ever since then my life has only bin filled with nothing, but games.
Growing up my parents never really had time to be with me. My father Markus Ruiz, a photographer, goes on many trips for business to any places he believes will look great in a photo. My mother Lindy Ruiz, a News lady for our local news station, leaves for a majority of the day to catch the latest story in the town. Its not like anything goes on in NewYork anyways. The only person that has ever bin with me is my little brother Evan. When I was 10, he was a little bundle of joy that was brought into my family's life. He is probably the love of my life. His adoriblness was what won me over the first time I saw him when mom and dad brought him home. While my mom was pregnant I always knew I was going to hate the new arrival, but once I saw him I could not help but love him. He had chocolate brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He was always just so full of life and love. Not a day went by that we did not play together. That was until I started middle school and was so busy with school work and my obsession for games, the time began to slip away from me. The age gap between Evan and I did not help things either. I could never play any games with Evan cause he was still a baby. That's why I created Hax.
When I was 11 and started middle school, my love for coding and programming really sparked after watching the first Iron man movie. I thought I could make a new friend for myself and that's how Hax came about. He is programmed into almost everything in my home yet Mom and Dad still don't know about him. He I programmed into all of my consoles so we can play multiplayer. He even has his own account and username on all games, Haxsource. He also is connected to the main phone of the house, able to scan any room of the home, is able to speak in any room and turn on and of the appliances in the house. Now that may seem like a lot of power and I was skeptical at first, but Hax proved me wrong. On my 13th birthday, Hax had a special necklace made for me with a crescent moon on it on a silver chain. Which proved he was responsible to handle the power on his own. To this day my parents still believe it was my aunt Grace who got it for me, yet of course she denies it completely.
"Nora!" Says Hax, snapping me out of thought. "Nora, your mom has come home from picking up Evan and going to the store, you may want to go help her."
"Thanks Hax, I can always count on you to keep me on my feet." I say. After that I hurry down stairs.
