At the beginning I never imagined us being where we are today. In only a year we had been through so much. It was quite the rush when I truly realised that this wasn't a dream, though I do tend to pinch myself often. It was just difficult to believe that this was real.

"Canada!" My gaze whipped back to Dax who was smiling brightly at me, his eyes clearly amused from me spacing out. He was still a complete jerk but I loved him anyway.

"Can you guys help me out!" Mike's voice yelled from the other room.

Casually we looked through the door that we had broken through while sparring into the kitchen where Mike made his way over, his head reading off of his tablet.

I glanced around the room at the terrible mess we had made and cringed. Mike was so going to kill us. I glared up at the American standing beside me and he choked a laugh as he  glanced around as well, wiggling his eyebrows at me. Obviously the troublemaker was going to enjoy this.

Mike, still with his head dipped down went to grab the doorknob when his grip came up short. With scrunched eyebrows he looked up to find that the doorknob was on the floor along with the rest of his door. As his brown eyes grew angry his gaze found us and seemed to burn holes in our head.

I laughed awkwardly before shifting to stand behind Dax. This was his fault! Okay maybe it was mine but if I hadn't kicked him through the door we would have ended up in the control centre and and angry Jesus was not something I wished to deal with. He's like a little teddy bear and who wanted to make one of those upset!

"WHAT DID YOU DO!?" He yelled, his eyes practically bulging out of his head. I would say he looked so angry his hair seemed to turn grey right there and then hit we have been here for a year which means we have stressed him out enough for his once brown hair to now be dark and grey. Poor guy.

Dax's shoulders shook as he attempted not to laugh but he brutally failed and doubled over. Another stupid decision because it gave Mike a clear view straight to the once China cabinet.

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT THOSE PLATES COST! THEY WERE FROM THE QUEEN!"

"Well maybe she will offer new ones," I offered with a smile but it just seemed to darken his aura even more.

"THE FIRST ONE!" Oh boy...

"Well- Uh... You see... It's America's fault!" I accused before completely booking it out of the room so quickly I could barely hear Dax shouting after me.

"Damn your country and your maple syrup!"

I definitely couldn't say a year of this was boring!

"Sorry for the delay in the assignment but I had to deal with a small mess in the dining room earlier. It seems some wild animals got in and tore up a one hundred year old table and irreplaceable chin aware worth millions."

The four of us sat in the lounge ready for the assignment Mike had hinted about earlier in the week, currently he was passing each of us folders with numerous documents that I would have to recount to Dax before we left because there was no way he would read these himself.

Mike was still bitter about Dax and I's little brawl this morning. I don't know what exactly gave it away. It was either the glares he had been giving us or the countless references to wild animals.

"There is a possible new drug that the Russian government has produced that they intend to release in North America. It is expected that it is highly lethal. A quick way to dent the populations."

My ears listened to his words as my eyes scanned the file. I knew these targets, they were definitely the big leagues.

"Five of America's agents have come up dead. We didn't want to send you three in until we had to because they fear these targets may be your possible downfall."

This sparked Dax's interest as he sat up more and looked over my shoulder at the file even though he had his own that he discarded into the coffee table.
