FOREVER AND ALWAYS

CHAPTER THREE;

A Memory

-----

“Aw come on, trust me!” Romeo’s words were sweet, but nothing could persuade me to jump on the back of that shiny death trap.

My jaw dropped, “Stop thinking with your dick for five seconds and come back to reality!”

He roared with laughter and I frowned. “Fine. Hypothetically, if I kill you, which I won’t!” He added when he saw my shocked expression. “I’ll be totally okay with you haunting me.”

Laughter spluttered out of my mouth and he smiled. “If you shut up I promise I’ll get on it!”

Silently Romeo nodded enthusiastically and eagerly led me closer to the bike. I was reluctant, but I did promise. I didn’t utter a word as he pulled a helmet from a storage compartment at the back and handed it to me, nor when he helped me on the bike behind him because I was frozen in place.

But when he asked if I was ready, I did say, “No.”

If his body wasn’t shaking I wouldn’t have known he was laughing. I scowled and lifted my body up to get of the bike, but he took off and I lurched slightly before tightly grabbing onto him, my scream echoing behind us.

He raced out the school grounds and swerved dangerously around corners, I felt like I was going to puke. Romeo finally stopped at a red light and I couldn’t move, I was frozen with fear.

“Zivana?” His voice was coated with laughter, if I could move I would have smacked him upside the head.

When I didn’t respond, Romeo’s voice sounded more worried. “Ziv? Are you okay?” He turned in my arms and I squeezed myself closer to him, feeling his rock hard stomach tense. His hands grabbed mine and he held me tight. Tears pricked behind my eyes, I was so scared!

“I’m sorry… What’s your address, I’ll drop you off at home.” I told him and when the light turned green he sped off again, this time considerably slower.

No longer screaming, I snuggled into Romeo’s back, enjoying the feel of his strong and confident body as he tamed the deathtrap beneath us.

We pulled up out the front of my two story brick home and I gently got of the bike. Slowly pulled of the helmet, I could only imagine what my helmet-hair looked like.

“Attractive” My knight in leather armor laughed and I slapped playfully at his arm.

“You could have killed me you crazy person!”

He went quiet. “I’m so sorry that I scared you Ziv…”

This was the second time I have upset him in a day, ouch… “No, don’t be sorry. I’m just an over dramatic drama queen!”

I shrugged of his protest and without thinking leaned in to give him a hug. His woodsy smell and manly cologne sent shivers up my spine. We hugged for a moment and I pulled back slightly to kiss him on the cheek, feeling his rough skin on my soft lips. “Thank you for today. It means a lot.” My voice was only a whisper.

“Anything for you Zivana.” His voice was gruff and stifled, and I choked silently on a moan.

I felt his face turn into my cheek and I pulled my body away. “Anyway, um, see you, ah, tomorrow then, erm, Romeo!” My voice spluttered out and I felt so embarrassed. Without thinking I turned and ran down the path to my house, nearly tripping over a pebble.

“Careful Zivana!” Romeo’s laughter floated to my ears and I turned and laughed back, nervously tucking my hair behind my ear.

My eyes squeezed shut when I saw him straddling his bike and lifting his arms up to pull on his helmet, showing a tiny strip of his stomach. Those hipbones are drool worthy.
