pretend

An innocent face with bashful smiles,
Just another mask from under which I hide,
My dirty deeds and evil schemes,
And the things about which I lie.

The secrets that hide in the corner my mind
And the things I keep locked in the dark,
The things that keep the rumors fueled,
The worst of all parts.

They'll never know what hides behind
This little girl façade.
They'll never be able to read my mind
Much less understand the pain.
