I feel like this chapter is kind of pointless. I guess it's a kind a filler.

It was official; Nathan and I were going out. I was happy. Nathan likes me for who I am, and I like for who he is. He walked me home that night. I figured it was time I told him...
“Nathan, there's something you should know....” I started.
“Yes?” he said.
“You see, when I was 5 years old... My parents got divorced.”
“Wow, my parents did-” Nathan interrupted.
“And my mother killed herself.” I finished.
“She... Killed herself? Why?” Nathan questioned.
“Because... She loved my dad. A lot. And when he broke her heart... She didn't know what to do. He was her life. And that was gone. She had no other choice.” I explained.
“Oh. Well, who do you live with now?”
“My foster parents, Kathlyn and Rory. And my foster sister, Savannah.” I told him.
“Well it's great that you have a family to take care of you.” Nathan said.
“Yeah. They're really nice.” We arrived at my house, and I hugged him goodbye. I walked in the door and Kathlyn came straight up to me and hugged me.
“Oh, thank God we found you!!” she said.
“You found her?!” I heard Savannah yell.
“Yes!” Kathlyn replied. “Marissa, where have you been?” she questioned.
“I-I just went out with a friend...” I said.
“Oh, oh. Please, next time, tell us where you're going.” I just then realized that I just walked out the door earlier.
“I'm so sorry.” I apologized. “I totally forgot.”
“It's okay, darling. Just tell us next time. Okay?” Kathlyn said with a smile. I smiled back.
“Sure thing.” I walked upstairs and took a nice shower. After that, I soon drifted asleep....
“Through playful lips made of yarn, that fragile Capricorn, unraveled words like moths upon old scarves. I know the world's a broken bone, but melt your headaches, call it home.”
I was awoken to 'Northern Downpour' by Panic! At the Disco. Such a great song. I got ready for school as usual. The day went on normally, but with a lot more talking to Nathan. He was such a sweet guy!
During English, I got to to talk to Tess about music.
“So, Tess, what bands do you listen to?” I asked her.
“Well, I listen to 30 Seconds to Mars a lot. And Paramore. Also, The Used. Here, I'll wirte them down for you.” She wrote down the three bands and gave them to me.
“Hey, thanks.” I said.
“No problem.” she replied. “Oh hey, you said you liked My Chemical Romance, right? Look at my shirt.” She had a black shirt with red letters that said “My Chemical Romance.”
“Cool! Where'd you get that?” I asked.
“The mall.” The mall... I had never been to the mall before....
“I wanna go....” I said quietly.
“Wanna go after school? I'm free.” Tess offered.
“Sure!” I said happily.
At the end of the say, I was sure to call Kathlyn to make sure she knew where I was. And to pick up Savannah.
Tess and I were on the way to the mall and we turned on the radio. A song I didn't know was on.
“Aha! See! This is 30 Seconds to Mars!” Tess said and turned it up louder.
“Aaannndd that was 'Night of the Hunter' by 30 Seconds to Mars!” the radio man said.
“Wow, they're awesome!” I said.
“I know right?” Tess said. We got to the mall and started walking around. The mall was huge! And there was a lot of people. This place was freakin' awesome!
“So, how much money do you have?” Tess asked me.
“Uhhmm, $90.” I said.
“How do you have so much?!” Tess asked.
“I never have anything to spend it on. I have a lot more at home.” I told her.
“That's cool.” Tess said. We walked into a couple stores and looked at clothes. So far, I bought a pair of hot pink skinny jeans, a pair of lime green skinny jeans, and a pair of black skinny jeans. I found a My Chemical Romance shirt and a Panic! At the Disco shirt that I wanted. I bought both of them and I was out of money. This was a great shopping trip.
“Y'know, thanks Tess. I had a great time!” I told her.
“Me too! We have to go shopping together again sometime.” Tess agreed.
“Yep.” I said with a smile. Tess and I went our separate ways.
When I got home, Kathlyn asked to see what I bought. She didn't seem like one to like my music taste. I showed her and she nodded solemnly.
“And you like this band- My Chemical Romance?” she asked.
“Yes.” I replied
“And Panic! At the Disco?”
“Them too.” I said with a smile.
“Ah, well. Marissa... Have you been taking your medicine?” She asked. Umm...
“Yes. Why would I not?” I said.
“I don't know... You just seem.. Different.” Kathlyn told me.
“Oh. Well.. I've been taking them. I promise.” I told her. “Goodnight, Kathlyn.” I went upstairs and realized it was only 6 pm. Oh well. I can't believe she asked.... I guess I am showing emotion. Well, I'm not doing anything bad, so I don't think being off the pills are affecting me.
I then got 30 Seconds to Mars, Paramore, and The Used on my iPod. I really liked Paramore. They appealed to me for some reason. I listened to all of the music I downloaded and eventually fell asleep for the night.
