SO this chapter is reallllllly cheesy! Haha! And I know it's classified as "Mystery/Suspense," and it isn't yet, but it will be ;) lmao. But once again, enjoy!

---------------.

Anyways,” Gabe continued on, “Lady Gaga is 1,000 times better than Taylor Swift! And I don't even listen to her that often!”

“Well... I like Taylor Swift....” Tess said.

“I never said she wasn't good, but Lady Gaga is better!” Gabe replied. Lady Gaga? What an odd name....

“Who's Lady Gaga?” I asked.

“'Who's Lady Gaga?' Have you been living under a rock your whole life?!” Jemma said to me.

“No.” I replied nonchalantly.

“There's no way you can't know who Lady Gaga is!” Jemma said.

“Well I don't!” I said.

“What do you listen to then?!” Gabe asked.

“Uhh...” Crap! What were they called again? “My... Chemical Romance... and uhh... Panic! At the Disco!” I said happily.

“Ooh, good music taste.” said Tess.

“Yeah.” Gabe agreed. “What else do you listen to?”

“That's it.” I said.

“...That's it? That's all you listen to?” Jemma asked.

“Yes.” I said.

“You sure are a strange one, Marissa.” Gabe said. I smiled. I liked being off the pills. I had feelings. Interactions. A voice. Friends.

I continued on to my next class. Neither Tess, Jemma, nor Gabe had this class with me. Oh well. I sat by myself for that class. I liked only having a certain amount of friends. I got settled in when a boy sat next to me.

“Hi, cutie. I'm Nathan.” he said to me. Cutie? Wow. I blushed.

“Hi, Nathan.” I said with a friendly smile. “I'm Marissa.”

“Nice to meet you, Marissa. Are you new here?” At this point, I don't even care.

“Yes.” I said.

“Oh, well welcome! If you need any help with anything, let me know. Do you mind if I work with you in this class?” Nathan asked me. One more friend couldn't hurt. He liked me, from the looks of it.

“Sure, why not?” I said with another smile. Nathan amd I worked together for the rest of the class period, and flirted with each other as well. And for the next class period, Nathan was there, too! I really liked Nathan. He was cute, friendly, and smart.

When lunch time came around, I decided to sit with Gabe and everyone. In the middle of eating, Nathan approached me and asked me if I wanted to eat somewhere else with him. Well, I wasn't just gonna leave my friends.

“Why don't you sit with us, Nathan?” I asked.

“Well, uh, sure.” he sat next to me. The last part of lunch was quite awkward. Within my next classes, I had some with Nathan, and some with Tess. I really got to know Tess within those classes. She's really a nice person. My last class was Biology, and I had that with Nathan too. The more I hung out with him, the more I wanted to be with him.

At the end of the day, I was about to walk out of the class and head to my locker when Nathan grabbed my shoulder.

“Hey... Uh... Do you maybe.. Wanna do something later?” He asked me, blushing. Well that caught me by surprise.

“Uh, sure! Here's my number..” I wrote my number on a piece of paper and handed it to him. We went our separate ways and I went to pick up Savannah. I didn't really notice, but I was smiling the whole time.

“Whoa, why are you so happy?” Savannah asked me.

“I don't know. Just a good day, I guess.” I said to her. She raised an eyebrow and looked out the window. I noticed they were playing 'Sing' on the radio again. I turned it up a little louder. Savannah and I arrived home and skipped right upstairs.

I grabbed my unused iPod and plugged it into my laptop. I really need some music on there. I had gotten so many iTunes card that I had $115 dollars in my account. I bought My Chemical Romance's album, 'Danger Days,' and listened to their other stuff. They're really good. I bought 'The Black Parade,' 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,' and 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.' I also bought all of Panic! At the Disco's albums, too. I searched up Lady Gaga and bought 'The Edge of Glory,' 'Judas,' and 'Born This Way.' Tomorrow I'll ask Tess what she listens to.

At about 7:00, my phone vibrated. It was Nathan. He wanted to know if I wanted to go out for ice cream with him. I said yes. And about 10 minutes later, Nathan and I were at the ice cream shop. I got cookie dough and Nathan got chocolate. We ate outside and talked about random things. Like school, friends, and what life was like at home. I didn't tell him about my past yet. We spent a lot of time talking, and it was about 8:30 when we were done. Nathan and I decided to go to the park. On the way there, Nathan grabbed my hand. A spark went through me. I really like him. And I've only known him for a day. What's wrong with me? We continued to park and we both to a seat on the swings.

“Y'know, Nathan, I really like you.” I told him. It didn't hurt to be straightforward. He looked surprised.

“Uh... Wow. I really like you too, Marissa. Really, I do.” He smiled at me. “C'mon, let's go look at the stars.” He grabbed my hand and we walked over to the hill. We sat down are stared. The sky was really pretty.

“Wow, it's beautiful!” I said.

“Just like you.” Nathan said. I looked at him. And right there, he kissed me. Nathan kissed me. I didn't stop him. It was nice. After all, it was my first kiss. He pulled away and I smiled and blushed. “Do you wanna go out with me, Marissa?” he asked.

I smiled. “Yes.” I said, and took him into a tight hug.
