KC's POV:
"KC! You need to grab the last of your stuff! We need to get out of here and go to the new place in California!" My mom yelled at me.
A lot of people would be happy to move to California, but I don't want to leave my friends and not be able to see them again and they might forget about me. I DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!!!! I have a awesome life here and I don't want to leave it. Sure, New York City sucks, but it has its perks. I also don't want to be called 'City girl' in school. I don't want people to think that I'm some stuck up girl that gets whatever she wants. Nope, that's not me. I work for what I get.
"Alright, I'm moving!" I shouted back to her.
I stuffed the blow up mattress in its box and threw it out of my old room. I grabbed my phone charger and stuffed it in my backpack and threw my clothes I had picked out for the day. Taking one last look at my room I walked out and ran down the stairs to the car.
"Mom, why won't you tell me why we're moving?" I groaned as we drove away from my childhood house.
"It's time to go to different palaces."
"Bu-" I started.
"I don't want to hear it." She told me cutting me off.
And that was that.
