KC's POV:

"KC!! Wake up, we're here." My mom told me shaking my shoulder.

I looked around and saw that it was dark out so I couldn't really see the house, let alone outside.

"And where is here?" I asked her raising an eyebrow.

"Our new house." She told me opening her car door and getting out leaving me in the car.

Alone.

In the dark...

I'm terrified of the dark.

I jumped out of the car and ran to the house with the only stuff I had with me in the car and sprinted at full speed to the house. When I got inside I saw that there was an upstairs and found that my mom had already claimed her room. I peeked into her room and saw that she was face first into her bed in a full out snore. At least they provided beds for us. I walked around the whole upstairs and finally found the room that I liked. It had a window seat that already was patted, a bunk bed that was a bed on top and  couch/pull out bed on the bottom. I'll have to ask my mom about this stuff in the morning.

<<The next morning>>

I woke up with the sunlight on my face. I groaned rolling over to block out the sun, but I forgot that I had fallen asleep on the window sill so I toppled to the ground with a thud. I groaned again, got up and walked out of my room to find the bathroom. Once I was done doing my business I walked down stairs to find some food.

"Good morning sweetie." My mom greeted me by the stove.

"Mornin mom." I replied tiredly.

"Did you sleep okay?" She asked as she turned away from the eggs.

"Yup! Until I fell off of the window sill with the sun in my eyes." I replied looking around the kitchen.

"Thats good." She replied happily turning back to the eggs.

"Mom, I was wondering, why is everything like, you know, here?" I asked sitting on a bar stool.

"What do you mean?" She asked with her back still to me.

"The beds, stools, food, yadda yadda yadda..." I told her trailing off so she would get my point.

"Because I set it up like that, I wanted everything to be perfect when we got here." She told me still not looking at me.

"EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT IN NEW YORK!!!" I shouted at her as I grabbed my bag with my money and phone in it and ran out of the house. I grabbed my car keys as I walked out of the house to my matte black truck and jumped in. Alright, I like I said before, almost everything I own I pay for but the truck was a gift for my 18th birthday a few months ago. As I was driving down I the road I realized that I didn't know where anything was in this town so I just drove around aimlessly looking for a place to eat.

I passed Wendy's, McDonalds and stopped when I saw Starbucks. I walked in and smelt the amazing smell of coffee and food. I love my food, but I'm not fat because I work out and I did karate so I know how to protect myself, even if someone holds me to a gun point. When I came to counter there was a girl wavy brown hair that looked perfect, mine is boring straight blond. I think that I'm going to go to the salon and get some color added to it.
