(Cyrus’ POV)

I’ve cleared up my mind the moment I knew that she steals for her brother.

I should’ve known earlier before I did my revenge…

If I did so…

I could’ve not hurt her…

I won’t cause her tears to fall…

I won’t regret this feeling that I have…

The feeling of guilt?

Or may be not guilt.

(Amber’s POV)

*Bell rings.

The school bell screams again.

“HOORAY!!!” Everyone shouted.

Dismissal is the most awaited daily part of the school days; and I know every student knows that.

“Amber, do you wanna eat dinner at our house? Mom, will cook your favorite dish.” Krystal invited me with a big smile.

“No one is home. Schedule it next time.” I replied.

Krystal’s family has been a family to me too.

But, no.

They know nothing about Andy.

They don’t know that I have adopted someone as my brother when I was still a kid.

“Whoa~! ‘Next time’?  Is that for real or you’re just not ready to face her family?” Joe teased again.

Here he comes again. Such a bastard!

“Don’t disturb her. She has got a lot of things to do.” Cyrus commented in a sudden.

Everyone looked at him, shocked.

We found him fixing his books on his desk and locking his notes in his bag.

He seems to be in a hurry.

He stood up and starts to walk to the exit.

“Why are you such in a hurry, Cyrus?” Louie asked.

“I’m visiting someone in the hospital.” He replied and went out.

“Ha? Is that for real? The mighty Cyrus is concerned with someone?”

Everyone got confused.

“Whoa~ That person must be so special that a heartthrob, Cyrus, cares for him/her.” Leny said as she packs her things too.

Visit?

Hospital?

I came to think of it.

Suddenly, an image of Andy flashed on my mind.

“Wait! Is he planning to…” I paused to think again.

“Ah… Impossible.” I said.

I sensed that Krystal has been looking at me while I am in my deep thoughts.

(Krystal’s POV)

What’s this?

Why do I feel like something is happening on Amber that I don’t know?

Why do I have this feeling that I must learn about this?

Five years ago, Amber is not acting this way.

She’s actually normal just like the others.

She’s very cheerful and noisy.

Despite of being an orphan, she’s full of humor.

But now…

Why?

Why did she change?

The old Amber, who was cheerful and noisy, is gone.

And now, she’s replaced by this silent, independent Amber in front of me.

***

“Amber, did something wrong happen?” I asked as we walk to the gate.

She looked at me for a while but looked away again.

“You’re keeping a secret from me, right?” I guessed.

“No, I don’t.” she answered expressionless.

I paused and looked at her walking forward still.

“What made you change that much?”

She stopped walking but didn’t look back.

“Where did the old Amber go? I miss her so much!” I said.

The sad feelings that I’ve kept for the past years is coming out.

Silence conquered the place…

I’m standing behind this girl, who hangs her bag pack on her right shoulder.

The cold wind passes by and her short greenish-black hair follows it too.

Slowly, she looked back and faced me.

She’s expressionless, still.

“She’s DEAD.” She exclaimed.

“She’ll never come back.” She added and starts to walk away.

She went on without looking back at me.

She went on until she disappears from my sight.

The tears start to fall from my eyes.

“I wish she could be revived.” I whispered.
