(Amber’s POV)
Yawn! What’s this?
Why can’t I find any victim for this day?
I have been walking through the public market to find a victim.
“What a day!” I whispered as I lean on a wall next to the entrance door of a boutique.
“Seems like you’re bored, huh?” A guy’s voice disturbed me.
I looked and found a fat guy with two men on his back.
Oh sh*t!
It’s the street sharks again, they’re here to make me pay again.
“It’d been a long time… STAR!” he said.
Star.
That’s my alias as a thief.
I smirked.
“It’d been a long time since I’ve been called Star, huh? So what’s with you again?”
“We’re just here to make you pay your debt on us.” The other guy from the back answered.
“Oh sure! But I don’t think I will pay you… EVER!” I said and quickly ran away from them.
“Catch him!” the fat guy ordered as they ran after me.
Hahaha! He’s still thinking that I’m a guy?
My cap seems to have a magic, huh?
We were running through the streets for almost 30 minutes, I think.
“Sh*t! I’m tired!” I whispered as I sneak a peek from my back.
They’re still following me.
***
An hour past, I’m still running for my life.
I can’t take it anymore, I give up.
I paused and rapidly gasp.
A guy suddenly came from nowhere.
He dragged me to a dead end.
“Quick! Take off your jacket.” He said as he takes my cap off from my head and inserting it to his pocket.
“Cyrus? Why are you…”
“Stop asking, they’ll be here in a minute.” he said.
He helped me taking off my jacket and tied it to my waist.
He clipped my bangs up.
And where the heck did he get that hairclip, anyway?
“Quick! Wrap your arms around my neck.” He said as he makes me lean on the wall.
I’m still trying to figure out if what he is planning.
“Quick!” he shouted that made me do what he said.
We heard footsteps coming near the dead end.
He suddenly moved his head closer and slanted it.
I moved my head backwards because I think I’ve got a slight idea about his trick.
“Come on! I’m not kissing you! Just pretend!” he said.
“Where is he?” the fat guy asked his two men.
I quickly slanted my head to be near to Cyrus’, afraid of being caught by those street sharks.
“Close your eyes. No one has ever kissed with eyes open.” He whispered, annoyed.
