(Amber’s POV)
“Where are we going?” I asked as I get in the car with Cyrus.
Yet he didn’t answer; he just started the engine and set off.
“Hey! Your party is not yet over!” I said shocked.
Okaaaaay~!
I’m talking to the wind!
He still made me look like a fool.
He didn’t answer me.
Our long ride ended at the lake side park.
We went near the lake and sit to view the peaceful night view of it.
“Why are you doing this?” I asked.
“Why? Can’t I just do anything on my birthday?” he asked in response.
“Ohhh~ So you want me to consider anything that you do because it’s your big day? Okay, if so.” I half-heartedly said.
Suddenly, a cold wind breezes which made me hug my self.
“Whoa~ That’s a cold one!” I mumbled still shaking.
He suddenly took off his coat and wrapped it around me--- this made me shock. He does have such manners?!
“You’re so skinny! Gain some weight!” He scolded as he lies on the grass and see the sky full of stars.
“Whatever!” I responded keeping my eyes on the lake.
We stayed quiet for awhile.
What a peaceful night!
“When we were still freshmen, I really thought you were a pretty guy on a girl’s uniform.” He started a conversation.
I chuckled, “And I thought you were a crying Mama’s boy!” I replied.
“You know that I like Krystal, don’t you?” he asked.
“And that’s the reason why you hate me; Krystal likes me.” I answered.
“But before her, I had set my eyes on you, too.” He claimed which made me look at him.
“Back then, I always stayed in the school garden to listen to music; and you know that the same place was your favorite spot, too, where you always sing your favorite song. And because of that, I ended up on listening to your music and not mine.” He started narrating while I attentively listening.
“I keep on coming there to listen to your voice; and so, once, I saw you browsing a magazine. You kept on staring on a globe wrapped by a headphone pendant. I knew that you wanted to have it…”
I, then, found myself holding my necklace.
“That’s the reason why I bought it. I, originally, bought it for you… I wanted to confess and give it to you but Krystal came. And so, my feelings diverted on her.” He concluded.
I made a smirk.
Somehow, I feel something pricking my heart right now.
What the heck is this?
It hurts.
“I never thought you’d be saying this nonsense. I don’t think I could tolerate such lies, jerk!” I said.
“Nothing is nonsense for me when it comes to you, Amber.” He said which made my heart flutter.
But no, I don’t think I could believe him.
