Chapter Fourteen

That night Niall sat on the bed, thinking to himself. Of course, Liam was the only thing on his mind. He realized though that he didn't want to fight with the vampire. If he was going to have to stay here he wanted it to be on good terms. He wasn't sure when Liam was going to be home but he wanted to solve their problem and push the argument from the night before behind them.

The angel stayed awake as long as he could but finally fell asleep around three AM. It wasn't even a half hour later when Liam entered the room, shrugging off his jacket. He noticed the Irish boy fell asleep on top of the sheets, laying horizontally across the bed. He could tell the smaller boy didn't have intentions on falling asleep but ended up doing so.

Liam couldn't help but smile slightly as he walked over to the bed, lifting Niall up with ease and pulling down the covers. He gently laid the smaller boy down and tucked him in. Then he headed in to the bathroom, changing in to just sweats before he walked back out and climbed in to bed besides his angel. He debated for a moment before he turned towards Niall and wrapped his arms around him. On reflex the Niall snuggled against the vampire and the brunette couldn't help crack a half smile.

"Good night, my angel."

The next morning Liam woke up before Niall. He got dressed and was going to go out. He grabbed a piece of paper and wrote on it, leaving it on the night stand next to Niall. He leaned down and kissed the angel's forehead before he walked out of the room. He met Zayn out in the hallway.

"Do you think it is wise to leave Niall alone?" Zayn asked as they headed down the hallway to the stairs.

"I know for a fact Josh will not be here for the next two days. I believe he will be alright." Liam answered, walking down the steps with Zayn following. They headed out of the house and to Liam's car.

"If you say so." Zayn shrugged before getting in to the passenger's side. They drove for a few miles before Zayn decided it was the perfect time to speak up. "I think we should talk about Niall."

"What about him?" Liam asked, looking over at his brother then back at the road.

"You know very well, Liam." Zayn answered. "Anyone with eyes can see that he has fallen in love with you. I know that you see that too. But you pretend to be blind to it and that is because you have fallen in love with him as well." Liam looked to defend himself but he honestly couldn't. He let out a sigh.

"You are right, I believe I do have feelings for Niall. I do not know how I let it happen, but it did. I am going to be honest, brother, it actually frightens me. The need and want I have for him. Not just physically but emotionally as well. I care for him more than I have ever cared for a person since my turning." Liam explained, running a hand through his hair. Zayn nodded.

"I know, but Liam you cannot let your fear intervene. You are going to lose someone very important if you do." Zayn stated. "Tell him. He is waiting to hear it." Liam sighed again, finally coming to a conclusion.

"When I get back, I will."

Niall woke up an about a half hour ago and wandered around the second floor. He had gotten Liam's note and was a bit anxious to see the vampire when he got back. He headed back to Liam's bed room, and opened the door, walking inside. A hand touched his shoulder and he jumped, spinning around thinking it was the brunette but saw that it was Josh.

"Oh Josh, you scared me." He said, catching his breath. Josh grinned, baring his fangs.

"Oh did I? My apologizes." He replied. Niall felt a chill run down his spine at the way the vampire was looking at him.
