Chapter Twenty-One

I'm sorry this chapter is short. But I couldn't think of anymore to add to it.  Enjoy though.

Liam honestly felt like he was on top of the world. He had shared something so intimate with his mate that he felt like a new and better person. He wasn't sure what the feeling was – love maybe? Probably but he knew it was something else. Something that was entirely Niall. He was sitting in the dining room texting Niall. The blonde had gone out with Perrie, needing a well-deserved 'girl's day' as she called it. Zayn was sitting adjacent to Liam, a knowing smile on his face.

Liam placed his phone down and looked up, seeing his brother smiling at him. He furrowed his eyebrows. "What?" He asked.

"You know what," Zayn answered. "This is amazing. I have never seen you so happy, so...alive." He explained. "Niall has done something to you."

Liam sighed but then smiled. "You are right. He has done something to me. And I love it." He confessed. "I feel like I could fly."

Zayn chuckled. "That was extremely cheesy, but very sweet. I am glad he has helped you."

Liam laughed as well. "Yes, that was cheesy, but very true. But now let us talk about you and Perrie."

Zayn raised an eyebrow. "What about us?" He asked.

Liam shook his head. "You are quite infatuated with her. Both Niall and I can see that."

Zayn coughed. "I am not," He defended.

"Yes you are, you cannot hide that from me, brother."

Zayn sighed. "Alright," He began. "I do have feelings for her but she is human. It is not that I have any problem with that. You know I do not. But what if she has a problem with me being a vampire?" She asked.

"I do not think she cares much about it. She is not afraid of either of us. She is quite comfortable around us. And I can see how she is around you. There is an attractive there." Liam explained. "You need to act on these feelings. Do not mess out. Do not be like how I was until I found Niall."

Zayn thought for a moment before he nodded. "You are right. I will not let this chance pass me by."

Liam smiled. "Good. Because she will be good for you."

"You have to tell him."

Perrie looked up from the shirt she was admiring to the boy next to her. "Tell who what?" She asked.

Niall rolled his eyes. "Tell Zayn you like him."

Perrie's eyes widened. "What? Are you crazy?" She asked, blushing now.

"No I'm not crazy. Also you didn't deny that you like him so obviously telling him would be a good idea." Niall stated. The blonde girl shook her head.

"No way," She began. "He's a vampire and I'm human. It's not gonna work."

"Well, I'm an angel and I'm with Liam. Also we're friends and you're a human. So it's not particularly all that farfetched." Niall shrugged. Perrie looked back down at the shirt, occupying her hands.

"Well...do you think he likes me back?" She asked.

Niall raised his eyebrows. "Or course he does. Liam sees it too. And no one knows Zayn better than Liam." He replied. "Trust me, Pez. You'll be happier once you tell him and get it off your chest."

Perrie looked back up at Niall then nodded. "Okay. I'll tell him. Um, though I want you around when I do. Like not there, but where I can come running to you if this turns out to be a stupid idea." She said.

Niall only smiled. "It won't be stupid but I'll be there anyway."

She smiled as well and hugged the blonde boy. "Thank you, Niall."

He wrapped his arms around her too. "Anything for my favorite girl."

"We will strike soon," Danielle heard her pack leader announced. To say she was barely paying attention was an understatement. She knew of the plan her alpha had – where he was going to try and get revenge on this vampire that wronged him years ago. She didn't know what had happened between them. But she didn't care either. She didn't get to choose her pack. It choose her and since she needed the safety and stability of it, she stayed. If she could make it on her own she would. But she was certain she probably couldn't.

Apparently in a few nights they were going to ambush the home of this vampire and kill the angel that lived there. Danielle didn't understand why they had to hurt someone else if it was this vampire they were after. She wasn't for it. But she couldn't exact tell Tom she was against it. She was going to go alone with it none-the-less.

"And what will killing this angel do?" Danielle decided to ask.

Tom turned his attention to her. "It'll leave Liam vulnerable emotionally. He will not be at his best while grieving over the death of his mate." He answered with a devilish grin.

Danielle rolled her yes. "Don't think you're strong enough to take him off while killing someone innocent?"

Tom glared at her. "Don't be going soft on me, Danielle. And don't underestimate my power. I'd rather see Liam suffer before I end his life." He growled.

"So sorry for doubting you alpha," She muttered before busying herself with something else.

"If there is anyone else in the house kill them. I don't care who kills the angel. But report to me once you do so. And then Liam is mine." Tom continued to explain. "Whoever kills the angel first gets to move up a rank." He smirked, hearing a few cheers at that and he knew he wouldn't have a problem with getting rid of Liam's mate. "Oh and bonus points for you if you bring me his heart. I'd love to show Liam."

Hey look, Danielle's here now. But gasp, she's working for Tom? Also Tom sounds like a grade A asshole. And he is. Niall hasn't even done anything to him. Let's hope no one gets to Niall like he wants. But you'll have to wait and find out.

Also can I just take a moment to talk about Love You Goodbye. It's like tied for my favorite on the album. Not because it's my favorite one to listen to and it's the one I like the best. But it's my favorite because it's their best song vocally on that album in my opinion. Everyone is literally so on POINT in that song that I can't stand it. It literally hurts me how good they all sound. Anyway.
