When I finally walked back into the dorm, Jessie bombarded me with more questions, mostly about the night. Even though it was getting really late, I figured I couldn’t sleep anyway and decided to humor Jessie.

“Wow, I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am for you both!” Jessie exclaimed after I finished giving her all the details of the night.

“Yeah, I’m excited too. I guess I never thought this night would come.”

“After you left I realized that I never finished teaching you dancing, but I guess it worked out perfectly!”

“Yeah I guess it did. To tell you the truth, I think Josh was actually kind of excited to teach me.”

“I could see that. What gets me is that Josh can sing! I had no idea!”

“I know right! I was so surprised! It was like he was singing straight into my soul!”

“I’ve seen the movie, but the song was only partial; actually only like two lines. I’ll have to look up the whole song.”

“I probably could tell you every word of it. It sank into my heart as he sang it.”

“You’ve been saying that for hours!” Jessie teased.

                “Sorry, I’m just still stunned.”

“It’s okay. I love listening to you talk about all this.”

“I love just thinking about it!”

                “I’ve noticed!”

                “Thanks.”

“Hahaha! Well, we should probably get some sleep.”

“Yeah, maybe. Goodnight, Jessie.” I replied as I got up.

“Goodnight, and Congrats once again.” She said.

It had been two days since Josh proposed, and today we were both sitting at a table in Starbucks. We were hunched over our schedules trying to pick a date for the wedding. Josh and I both agreed that we didn’t want to wait very long.

“We could get married next month...” Josh suggested.

“December is a pretty busy month, Josh.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right. January is a busy month for me.”

“We may have to wait a while to get married after all.” I sighed. Josh gave me a reassuring smile, and went back to looking at dates. Then all of sudden, he got this glow to his face.

                “What about in February?”

“That might work! When did you have in mind?”

                “The 14th- Valentine’s Day.”

“Hmmm...That does work with all our schedules.”
