We were caught in the moment.

"Chris wait." I said stopping him

"What up?"

"I feel like were moving too fast." I said grabbing my shirt

"Aight. I don't wanna rush you."

"I'm sorry. I just can't jump to that just yet."

"It's aight baby. Whenever your ready."

"Don't be mad."

"Naw, it's cool. I can't rush you." He said grabbing his tank top and the lotion and walking out the room. I feel so bad. We were almost butt ass naked and I back out. I'm just scared to do that again. I changed and went into the living room. I was texting my bestfriend, Keaira.

Me: I feel so bad :\

BFF: Why? :(

Me: Me and Chris were in the moment and I backed out

BFF: You teasing him Lexi...

Me: Ikno I feel bad

BFF: Why you holding out??

Me: Cause of Damon..... I'm still scared....

BFF: Awwww I wish I was there with you

BFF: Tbh I'd feel better if you were here

BFF: Awwwww I miss you too Lexi

Me: When are you coming to visit me??

BFF: I don't know..... I might not even be in New York anymore :(

Me: Why not???

BFF: My mom and her boyfriend want to travel around the world..... I don't know where I'ma go...

Me: Maybe you can come down here.... My mom misses you.

BFF: I'm surprised... last time me and your mom spoke she had her hands around my throat -.-

Me: Then I'll talk to Chris then.... I'm sure he won't mind.

BFF: I don't wanna throw myself onto you guys....

Me: Keaira please..... He won't mind either him or his friends??

BFF: Friend???

Me: He's got a few..... One of them is moving next door in a couple of days and the other already has his own spot, but he's taken....

BFF: What about the other one??

Me: His name is Dion, he works at Footlocker with Chris... He's tall, has long hair, and he's funny. Plus you'll fall for his smile..... :) Trust me, I got you ;)

Now all I gotta do is talk to Chris about this.

Chris

Just finished getting rid of the wood. I realized all that talking about me loving Alexis was just mixed feelings at the moment. I walked out the room and she was on the couch, on her phone. After she was done on her phone she started conversation.

"So....... You're not mind right?"

"I am but at the same time I can't be."

"I'm sorry. I'm just not ready."

"It's cool. Change the subject." I said wanting to get over it

She sat there quiet for a few minutes before she spoke again.

"Can you help my bestfriend move out here?"

"Bestfriend? Where she at?"

"Where else? Jamaica?" She said sarcasticly

I shot her the blank face.

"When she moving and how??"

"Hopefully soon and by plane. Her mom is leaving her with no place to go." She said explaining her friend's situation

"I guess. Where she gonna stay?"

"Hopefully Dion will let her"

"You just throwing my boy ya friend. What if he don't want to?"

"Trust me he will." She said pulling out her phone and calling I suppose her friend.

A Week Later

Alexis had just came back to my house, she been at home all week. She was at the table going through her papers for school and I was playing the game.

"Why you doing that now? I thought school didn't start for 2 weeks?"

"I gotta fill out this stuff, and school starts on Monday."

"Monday? Why Monday?"

"I don't know Chris. Chill out I'll spend the weekend with you."

"That's only two days."

"So..." She trailed off

"That's too short."

"I know Chris."

"What am I gonna do during the week then?"

"I don't know. You better get off the rotation shift and take the weekends off."

"Then I'll have a 9-5, I'm cool with my 9-3." I said

"Sounds a little difficult there." She said cleaning up her papers and heading to the room, "I'm gonna take a shower." She said stlpping in the doorway

"Aight." I said playing the game

While playing the game, I got interrupted with a knock at the door. I got up and answered it.

"Hey Chris. Where my girl at?" Asked Keaira

"She in the shower." I said walking back to the couch

"Game freak." Keaira mumbled

"I heard that, but what you want?"

"I came to see Lexi." She said sitting down

"Where Dion?"

"Taking a nap."

"Ya'll hooking up or what?"

"I don't know. I'm waiting for ya boy to make the move."

"Why got to make all the moves?" I asked

"Cause he a man, he gotta lead the way."

I laughed at her comment.

"Think it's funny. That's why you sitting right there."

"What's me sitting right here gotta do with anything?"

"Exactly what it sounds like. How long my girl been in the shower."

"About 15 minutes. She should be out by now, she only take long showers at night."

"I'ma go see."

"Suit yourself." I said as she got up

"Shut up Chris." She said opening the door to the bedroom

This girl is too much.
