So yesterday I found out some news that are heart crushing. My Mom was in a car accident and needed blood for her trauma. Dion was a match, but he is anemic. Chris was is a match and he decided to go through. Then I found out that the woman I've been calling Mom for the last 17 years isn't my Mother. Ray came yesterday, he said he was in a meeting and had to turn off his phone. Whatever that means.

"Hey, how you feeling?" I asked Chris who was drinking Orange Juice

"I'll be aight. Sorry bout what happened yesterday."

"It's okay. I guess I was gonna have to find out sooner or later."

"How you holding up?"

"Just waiting for my Dad to call me."

"I thought he was overseas?"

"He is but he is like the head of the guys. Basically he is the boss."

"Can't wait to meet him." Chris said turning the other way

"He's not mean. He should like you." I said slapping his arm playfully

"Be careful, I ain't got as much blood." He said grabbing my hand

"I'm sorry." I said pecking his lips

"Up in here making my boy soft huh?" Michael said walking in

"Naw never that." Chris said

"What up ya'll?" Michael asked hugging me and dapping Chris

"Shit. I'm ready to get out of here." Chris said

"I heard that. Wasn't you suppose to leave yesterday?" Michael said

"Naw. They had to make sure I was stable."

"Well, the doctor said you should be able to leave now." I said to Chris

"I hope." He said

My phone started ringing. I didn't want to answer it, but I realized it was my Dad.

"Hello?" I answered walking out the room

"Hey Baby Girl. I heard you needed to talk to me?"

"Dad, I found out about Gwen."

"Damn. How? You weren't suppose to find out. Who told you?"

"She got in an accident and yadda yadda I find out she is not my Mom. Who is my mother, Dad?"

"I hate that you have to go through this."

"Go through what Dad?"

"Alexis, your Mom was shot and killed in a Robbery just before your 2nd birthday."

"What?"

"I'm sorry. Gwen helped me out and then she just became that mother figure to you. She couldn't conceive a child but I was fine cause I had you. I want you to know that you loved her. Everything about her. I was devastated when she passed.",

I felt sadness take over me, the woman that brought me into the world was taken from me before I got the chance to meet her really.

"Daddy, I got to go."

"I'm sorry about this, Alexis. All of this, I really am."

"I am too."

"I love you Alexis."

"I love you too Daddy." I said holding back tears

Those will be the 3 words I will never be able to say to my Mom or hear from her. I will never know the Woman that was my mother. This is all overwhelming. Everything is happening to me. Why?
