I watched as Jackson jumped onto my bed laying down and suckling on my pillow. I giggled, and sat up over him, petting his small head as he purred loudly. Eventually he curled up and fell asleep. I petted his soft blanket like fur. Waffle walked over to me, her green eyes glowing in the black of the night. I looked at her and patted her head gently and scratched her muzzle. Her eyes spoke to me before she even opened her mouth.
"He won't be a kit forever you know..." I lowered my eyes and looked at him.
"I know." My green eyes mixed with hers as I spoke again. "Remember when we first got him." I looked down at Cheddar. "He looked just like you." Cheddar rolled his eyes as he looked at a book shrouded in dust.
"He's nothing like me. I am mature and he's not." He opened the dusty book and looked back at a cackling Waffle.
"Are you kidding?! He was just like you but as a kid!" Waffle huffed and puffed a bit before staring at the book. "What's that book for?"
Cheddar looked back at us with a glimpse of satisfactory. "I found a book for growing up cats." He leered at Jackson with a sideways smile on his face. I looked at him then at Jackson as my eyes widened.
I pulled Jackson up and away from Cheddar. "Oh no! You are NOT making my baby grow up!" I glared at him angrily. "You won't lay a paw on his pelt!!"
Cheddar leered at me dirtily. 'I don't have to. All I have to do is say this spell and his name and it'll happen."
I grabbed the book and he dug his claws into the cover. "You won't ruin this for me, Ash! I can't stand this anymore!" I gripped the book and pulled,
"Don't be so cruel! You've done it once, you can do it again!" Cheddars eyes caught my eyes and he grabbed the page and released the cover, making me fall backwards. He quickly read a spell.
"Change the form of all to one that can't easily be undone!"
The book shined and my sight was bad for many moments. When my eyes cleared up, I looked to see a boy with orange blonde hair. Then I looked on the bed and there was a girl with blue-silver hair. The girl had those green eyes. I realized... These weren't people, they were my cats!
I glared at Cheddar. "What did you do?!" Cheddar looked to see his hands.
"H-human?!! But-" he looked at the book page closely. I looked to see waffle wrap a blanket around herself. I then wrapped one around Cheddar, and he looked up at me with a nervous smile.
"Heheh... I might have done the wrong spell..." I looked up and saw Jackson sit up.
"What happened?" Jackson looked up wiping his eyes.
I glared at Cheddar. "Someone tried to change you." I grabbed Cheddars shoulders and shook him. "Change yourselves back before my mom sees!!!" He looked nervously at the book.
"I can't..." He looked down shamefully. I put a hand over my face and sighed deeply.
"Ched... You need to hide from my mom. You can't let her see you." I looked at him with the blanket around him. "I need to find you some clothes..." Cheddar looked down and blushed harshly. I grabbed some regular unisex shirts. I grabbed some jeans and other shirts for the girls. I knew that if Waffle, Jack and Cheddar were humans... So were the others.
I ran into mom's room and grabbed a pair of mom and dads jeans. I grabbed other clothing and went outside.
Junior was in a bush, looking confused at her appearance. Oliver was on the trailer, asleep as usual. I woke him up and got Shark off of the deck. But where was Sister? I heard a yelp and realized she was in the attic. I brought them into my room and dressed them.
Oliver stood over me. "What's going on?" I leered back at Cheddar.
"Ask him." I went into the office and wrote a note to my friends. I needed someone to know about this. I put it in an envelope and put it in the mailbox.
When I came back into my room, everyone was fighting. Oliver was hitting Cheddar, Junior was on Sisters back, and Waffle was drinking one of dad's monsters. Shark and Jackson were curled up next to each other watching terrified. My eyes caught fire, and I angrily grabbed Oliver and Cheddars ears.
"SHUT IT!!!!!" They all stopped and looked at me. Junior fell off of Sisters back, Waffle stared excitedly at me, somewhat scaring me, and Oliver and Cheddar, responding to me pinching their ears, whispered in pain.
"Ow...ow...ow...." I released they're ears and put my head down in exhaustion, putting a hand over my face thinking.
What did I get myself into...?
