Crazy Summer Love

Chapter 1 - Just Another Normal Day?

Elizabeth's P.O.V

Bliss. Summer is pure bliss. It's June 7th. A hot day. A day when any sane person would be in their house trying to find a hundred ways to cool down .Which is exactly what i am doing now.

Lying upside on my comfy sofa wearing grey shorts and white tank top with my A.C on the lowest temperature. Empty juice bottles, chips packets and half eaten ice-cream buckets scattered on the table as if  a cyclone had past by. I switch on the T.V and flip through the channels trying to find something good to watch. Suddenly I see One Direction on T.V. Bingo! It's an interview and the interviewer is trying her best to impress them giving a pathetic British accent and constantly running her fingers through her recently bleached blond hair. "Yucck!" I exclaim. 

"So how does it feel to become so big in such a short span of time?" she asks.

"Honestly, we never expected any of this to happen. It's still very new to us. But of course we love it." says Liam smiling in his usual charming way while the other boys look around, clearly bored.

 " And I know it's a bit too late to ask. But we are all still very curious about what happened between Taylor and you, Harry." she says cheekily.

Oh! Not again!

This gets their attention. The boys shift uncomfortably in their seats not knowing what to say.

 "Next question please." Zayn curtly replied, irritated.

Go Zayn! Hahaha! Take that you annoying witch!

*I'm gonna run this town/Run this town/I'm gonna run this town/Run this town*

I hear my phone ring.  I scramble my  way through the mess to reach for my phone.The caller I.D says it's Destiny a.k.a Des my best friend.

"Hi Des! What's up?"

"Your Highness finally decided to pick up!"

"I didn't take that long. Plus One Direction were on T.V."

"What? Oh no! I missed it."

"You sure did." 

"Hey El! It's a beautiful day today isn't it? The sun is shining so bright, the birds are singing and...."

"What do you want?" I ask cutting her off. You can always tell when Des wants something. That's when the Strawberry Shortcake side of her comes to life.

"Ha! You got me. Okay, so I wanted to hang out somewhere."

"What? Are you crazy? In this heat? Bonked your head in the morning did you, love? " 

"Don't call me 'love'. And I really want to go out today! "

"Fine. So where do you want to go?"

"I was thinking something like Ice Pop." she says. I could almost imagine her grinning like a fool on the other end of the phone.

Of course she wants to go the neighbourhood ice cream parlour! It's summer! And for Des summer = ice-cream.

"Cool. What time?"

"Now. In five minutes. You come over. Oh! And June will be meeting us there."

"Okay. See you in five."

I disconnect the line and  go upstairs to my bedroom to put on something decent.

Suddenly the telephone rings. I jump at it's shrill tune and pick it up.

The stupid phone always scares me!

It's mum.

"Hey Mum!"

"Hi honey. I just called to ask if you were enjoying your vacation."

"I'm fine mum." I say.

"And honey I'm really sorry. But I can't come back this month. I've got a another meeting coming up."

"It's okay." It's not like I regret it or something.

"Okay honey. Take care!"

"Bye mum!"

I put the phone back and get up. I am so loved. Okay. Time to find something to wear. Scratch that. Something DECENT to wear.

Destiny's P.O.V

Ice Pop here I come! 

I play my favourite playlist on full volume and pick out the shirts I hadn't given away for laundry. Yellow, black and a pink and white striped shirt. It's summer. So yellow it is. I change into my yellow shirt and Khaki capris. I go downstairs to the kitchen and head for the kitchen. I take out a can of Pepsi, flop down on the sofa and wait for Elizabeth. I really need to make this summer worthwhile. Things weren't exactly suger-coated for me lately. I had missed the 1D concert and even their album signing. Don't get me wrong. I love my life. But sometimes it becomes too monotonous. That's when outings and parties come into the scene. I love parties! I' m a total party animal. El is more of the family girl but that doesn't mean she doesn't have a wild side. Afterall we're best friends!

Suddenly the doorbell rings. I rush to the door and see it's Elizabeth. She has an impish grin plastered on her face. She's wearing black top with spaghetti straps, grey shorts with black and white converse. Note to self: Take Elizabeth with you the next time you go shopping.

"You ready?" I ask.

"Always! Let's go!" She says.

Liam's P.O.V

The interview was a mess. I knew the reporter was going to say something like that. She really shouldn't have asked that question. Why don't they just leave Harry alone. The Haylor chapter is long gone! But the media never fails to get it back. The hotel door opens and Louis enters holding a tray full of burgers.

"Who's hungry?" he asks, clearly trying to lighten the mood.

"I am!" says Niall raising his hand like a school kid.

Obviously.

Soon we're all laughing and hogging on the burgers. We can't stop laughing as Louis animatedly starts describing how we could have tackled the reporter . Just then Paul comes in. 

"Boys? Do you want to go somewhere today?" he asks.

"Where?" Zayn asks.

"I heard that a new ice-cream parlour opened up recently. It's just round the corner." says Paul.

"Everything is fine by me as long as it's food." Niall says matter-of-factly.

"I wonder if they have a carrot- flavoured ice-cream there." Louis says aloud tapping his temple with his finger.

"That is plain nasty." Harry says scrunching his nose up.

"Well it looks like we're going out today!" I say brightly.
