Two

You are my temporary love
Temporary tattoo
30 seconds under water and you're stuck to me
But you smell of the wind and are attracted to the sky
You are gone in a few days

I don't love you, but you're beautiful
You're colorful and fun and music to my eyes
When you smile I sink
I sink in this colorful puddle of airy delight
And remember the way your lips pushed against mine, almost desperately

You are a cloud and I am a deep-sea volcano
We come from different worlds yet we push to find similarities
And we appreciate each other's aesthetic beauty
While you wonder why I drown
While I wonder why you fly

I am bubbling at the top, bursting in my brain
You float along as if you don't think at all
You're soft and light and I'm heavy and intense
I bring you down to earth
You bring me up to the light

If I could be a mountain I'd escape this watery prison
And join you in the sky
