I think of you like a bright red ocean
Not blood...
A flowing tide of strawberry syrup
Sickeningly sweet, but so so addictive
I want you on my morning toast
You are my sunrise and my sunset
On my mind
Morning, night, and all day
Stars line your cheeks like your face lines my dreams
Your eyes are pools of chocolate sauce
Your skin is caramel
I am eager to taste
Expensive
Your heart, your mind, your thoughts
I cannot afford them
But I look at you, through a glass window of doubt and uncertainty
You are a sunrise, you are strawberry jam on buttery toast, you are chocolate and caramel ice cream.
And you are no longer mine.
