Chaos.
That was the only word that came to mind as I looked around the room. Girls were scuttling around, fussing and panicking. Lynn and I stood on opposite sides of the room, watching, bemused, as seven girls scampered around, primping and preening.
Shauna stood in the center of the room, encased in a fluffy, white mass. Her wedding dress hugged her curves and made her eyes pop. She looked gorgeous. The nine of us had been chosen as bridesmaids, while Ava took the job of flower girl. Lynn and Shauna's brother, Hector, was acting as the ring bearer. The girls, other that Shauna , were wearing gowns of silky lilac, the soft colors looking beautiful against the white.
Zeke had tried to sneak in a few times, trying to catch a glimpse of his bride to be, but was stopped by either his groomsmen or Lynn.
The five girls from college, Aleezay,Victoria, Brooke, Tayler, and Melinda, had all made good friends with the other girls over the past three months. They had all flown down periodically to visit, something that everyone looked forward to.
Time passes in a blur and soon, Lynn was marching her sister up the isle and the expression on Zeke's face was priceless. His jaw practically hit the floor as a look of wonderment passed across his features. I couldn't blame him though, Shauna looked beautiful in her dress.
Tobias however, was staring at me intensely. His eyes hadn't left me since I walked into the room. He looked handsome in his suit, with his hair piled neatly atop his head.
Ava sat in the first row, looking gorgeous in her light blue dress, her hair in flawless waves around her shoulders.Hector, who had brought the rings up, was seated near her, looking handsome in his suit. The girls from college looked gorgeous and I felt like a sack of potatoes standing next to all of them. It's sad really, their dresses all hugged their curves and showcased their perfect bodies, whereas mine was tight, yes, but I didn't have any curves to flaunt. Their hair was all intricately done up while mine hung around my shoulders.
But either I had something in my teeth, or I looked a Hell of a lot better than I though I did, because Tobias stared at me through the whole ceremony. The only time he pried his eyes away from me was to watch the happy couple kiss. A smile graced his features, a smile that made me warm all over.
There was a massive crowd that swarmed the couple the moment they stepped down from the alter, smothering them with congratulations and hugs. The bright smile never left their faces all the time, their hands staying tightly wound.
Someone's heavy hand landed on my shoulder, turning me around. Tobias stood behind me, grinning happily. His lips met mine, moving slowly, sending shivers down my spine. He pulled away only far enough so that he could speak, though his lips still brushed mine.
" You look gorgeous" He murmured, his voice vibrating in his chest.
" So do you," I replied in haze caused by his lips " wait, no. Handsome, you look handsome."
His laugh was deep and rich and resonated into my chest that was pressed so close to his. His eyes locked onto something behind me, probably Zeke.
" I'm happy for him" Tobias said, grinning.
" Well, let's go congratulate the happy couple." I insisted, tugging Tobias in their direction.
