How can you not see it?
The truth behind his lies
You're just a pretty thing to him
Not a person in your own right.
Do you really not remember?
All the times he made you cry
When he last left you in the wreckage
As he uncaringly said goodbye.
Who do you think he is?
Some hero on a horse
Playing make believe he cares
Till he leaves with no warning or remorse.
When did you decide then?
To let him back inside
So soon after you swore to me
You were leaving him far behind.
What are you possibly thinking
Letting him in again
There must be something that I'm missing
So please help me understand.
Where do you think this is going?
It seems as if you are unsure
You claim he as truly changed for good
But he refuses to promise more.
It worries me, your choice
To give him another try
Because twice no he has hurt you
And yet you say that you aren't done.
So how can you not see it?
Don't tell me he means no harm.
The first two times near killed you
I fear the third time is the charm.
