Listen close and tell me who I am
What do you think of me
I'll tell you all my stories
And in return tell me what you see.
Cause I lost who I once was
She was Once Upon a Time.
She believed in fairy tales
And now she's lost her mind.
At the start of my story,
She was just an open book
Looking for adventure
Down every path she took.
She was the Queen of the Lost Causes
Fought for every bleeding heart
Till someone finally broke her
And made her scared to even look.
By the time that she'd recover'd
The dear old queen was near dead
And in her place, the tyrant
Who walked not in her stead.
As tyrants do, she earned rage
And malice e're she went
Till they forced her out.
The hermit came on then
Unsure and in pain.
Hiding hurts, old and new,
Deep within her shell.
She's tried to settle down some
And she thinks she's done it well.
But then she starts to wishing
She didn't live in this hell.
The pain it must stay hidden,
The walls protect the Queen.
She still wishes to come out,
But is too afraid to try
Knowing if she breaks again
Then surely she will die.
I'm asking you for help now.
I can't find her anymore.
Can you tell me who I am?
So I can break her free from hell.
