JohnnyButterfly was a kitty that never had a home. His mother was run over by a car when he was only 8 weeks old.
Johnny felt that her death was his fault. If he had have just listened to his mama and stayed close to her side, she might still be here.
If he hadn't have chased that butterfly into the street his mother wouldn't have had to sacrifice her life to save him.
Johnny vowed to never chase another butterfly. SodaPop and Timmy saw all of this happen. They watched as the tiny kitten stood over his immobile mother, licking and pawing at her. He was oblivious to the fact that she was never to wake up again. The two animals waited with him there just in case someone came looking for him.
No one did.
Johnny has been with them since that dreaded day. He has never looked at a car that same way and he probably never will.
