Edit Edit: BEEP BEEP BEEP BACK UP NOW. If you have NOT read Niall's Cancer Battle, please read it...this is the SEQUEL to NCB. Aaaaaand prologue time!
Prologue
"But you don't get it, Harry. None of you get it! I don't care what everyone is saying. I don't care that there are people pushing for news coverage on me. I don't want it! I don't want any of it!" I feel myself getting more frustrated as time slowly ticks by. I just want to get out of this room. Away from Harry who keeps interrogating me.
"But Niall, no one understands what happened to you!" Harry grabs my shoulders suddenly and rocks me, his green eyes bright and full of urgency.
"I don't even understand what happened to me!" I yell and push Harry off, stepping away from him. I point at my head. "You think I can comprehend what's going on with me?! You think this is somehow easy for me to deal with!?"
"But-"
"-It's not!" I scream, feeling the tears stream down my cheeks. I grab the sides of my head with my hands and pull my hair, hoping that it'll make the pain stop. To make everything disappear. "It's not easy at all," I whisper brokenly because that's how I feel. I lower myself to the cold floor.
Harry's shoes appear closer to me. He lets himself sit in front of me, cross-legged. "You don't have to go through this alone, Niall. You have us all here with you. We love you, mate," Harry says quietly. Every piece of my heart pounds in my chest.
"I know," I say, staring at his tied shoelaces. "I just wish things weren't so..."
"Completely insane?" Harry finishes with a small chuckle.
I nod and meet his eyes. "Exactly."
Harry puts a hand on my shoulder and squeezes. "Welcome to reality."
I shake my head in disbelief at everything I've gone through. And yet, I still have the strength to smile. "It's good to be back."

Hey! So if you're reading this, I'm pretty much hoping you've read Niall's Cancer Battle already. This is the sequel to NCB, and it's kind of important that you read NCB beforehand. That being said, I wish you all enjoy this one as much as you enjoyed NCB! I can't believe how far NCB is going (:
