~Reader's POV~

I'm standing on the edge if returning or just running away

I'm letting myself look the other way

I laid in a cold, damp alley. My parents dropped me off on the side of the street a month ago. I was apart of an aristocrat family. But they we're greedy and wanted my life insurance money.

Tears started welling in my eyes. It wasn't anything new. My family didn't love me.

And the hardest part in all of this is
I don't think I know my way back home

°Mini Time Skip (3 days)°

I made friends with a stray black lab. We were both alone. But we now have each other.

Is it worth the journey
Or do I let my heart settle here?

"Hello? Are you ok, ma'am?" I voice rang above my head. I was currently hugging the puppy to my chest to give (him/her) [You decide the gender. Name comes later] warmth.

I looked at where the voice was originated. He was rather handsome. The boy had navy/black hair, a blue eye, one covered by a patch, and wore rather expensive clothing.

"Please don't hurt us!" I yelled as I craddled the puppy closer to me as (he/she) growled at the boy.

How cold have I become?
I didn't want to lose you
But what I'd done, caught in the grey

The boy looked at me with a suprised look. "I wish not to hurt you. I would just like to know who you are." He said with a calm expression.

I don't wanna look you in the eyes

I don't wanna give you the chance to make me stay

I turned my head opposite of the boy. "That, I cannot tell you." Tears stung my eyes as I remembered my past. My little puppy licked my face to cheer me up.

"Young master, is everything ok?" Another male came. His piercing red eyes widdened at the site of my condition, as well as the puppy.

"Were you going to leave this lady here, master?" The new male asked.

"Of course not!" The boy shouted. I flinched and he looked at ne with a worried expression.

"Would you like to stay at my manor miss...?" The boy held out a hand towards you and you just stared at his hand.

"It's... (y/n). I guess I could go," I said in a timid voice as I kept the puppy close to me. "But the dog has to come." I demanded.

"Of course..." the boy sighed. "I am Ciel and this is Sebastian." Ciel pointed to the taller male.

°Time Skip° [1 year]

You walked through the garden of the estate as you thought of you horrid family.

And the hardest part in all of this is
I know my way back I don't want to go

All that has become of me

I walk so far away into the forest if shrubs. Tears fell from my eyes. I recalled all that Ciel has done for me abd fell as I sobbed. (D/n) [A/n: dog name] came running to me. (He/She) laid (his/her) head on my lap.

I don't deserve any of this. A place if comfort. The servants of the estate. Ciel.

Night fall came as tears still flooded my eyes. Then, suddenly, they stop.

It burn for a moment but
But then it numbs you
Takes you and leaves you just

I go back to the estate and find Ciel crying in his study. My heart broke. My (e/c) orbs widden. I dashed to him as my (h/l) (h/c) flowed as I ran and hugged the male. Allowing him to cry.

As he cried, I began to sing a song I once herd to calm anyone down
