Chapter 14: Secrets Of The Souls

Closing my eyes ......I meditated on what decision to make. I couldn't bare to stay in this cage any longer, or else Michael was going to come and take my soul.
How could I help everyone if my soul is taken ? ...

Finally, after making a decision I decided to respond to the crying voices...
"I'm down here ! .....come to the cage !......I'm DOWN HERE !" I whispered shouted while looking up at the souls.

A glowing bluish light came to the front of the cage. .....
As it slowing approached my presence, I looked at the soul of a person in astonishment.

Suddenly, the glowing bluish light turned into a person ....she had on a long white dress ....and long beautiful curly black hair. Her eyes looked like the galaxy with different bright colors that stands out.

"Hello, my name is Mabel ...Mabel Hosanna. For years I've been locked up in this place. Prisoned. When waiting for centuries for someone to help us, we finally gave up hope ... until we saw you." She said in a gloomy voice. But also build up faith.

"Is that why you and the other souls have been making crying moaning sounds everytime someone walks by this house ?" I asked, scared yet curious.

"Yes. Indeed. we've been trying to get someone's attention ....we've been trying to get someone to save us. But no one wanted to." she responded.

"Well, I'm here to save you all. My name is Merida, and I think we can help each other out."

"How so ?" She said, with a perplexed look on her face.

"For starters I need you to let me out of this cage....." I said in a hurry.
"Although I don't know where the keys could-..."

"No need for keys" she interrupted.

Taking two steps back, she closed her eyes and put her hands in a praying position.
The cage opened up and I was free from it.
I took step out and continued to talk to Mabel.

"Thank you,...now Mabel I need your help ...do you know how to destroy this evil soul that has kept you and everyone else in this house ?" I said asking for information.

"Yes. In order for you to destroy him, you need to get him out of the vessel that he is in. It does not belong to him." Mabel said.

"Wait .....wait wait ....that vessel he is in ...does not belong to him ?" I said.

"No. Merida we're not just dealing with an evil soul. This is a demon. Which means he possessed whoever body he has stolen."

"Oh no ....that's my friend Michael body ! If that's not Michael ....then where is his soul ?!"
Panicking, I fought back my tears and paced back and forth.
Mabel grabbed ahold of my shoulders and calmed me down some.

"There is a great solution to this situation. Your friend soul is around here somewhere.....after we get the demon out of your friend body, then we can find him. Until then.....this is what you have to do ....."
She walked to the other side of the room and carefully removed a book from a shelf.

"What is this ?" I asked.

She blew off the dust on the book and I saw the title as clear as daylight.

This is a Bible.

"A Bible ? I already have one in my book bag." I said.

"May I see it ?" Mabel said holding her hand out.

I took my bag off my back and reached inside to get the Bible. I handed it to her as directed.

"This is a good Bible ....but it simply won't do. You need the bible that was spoken straight from God's mouth. Not the new edition." She said handing it back to me.
Then she continued.

"Listen careful Merida .....right here in the Psalm sections of the Bible I need you to read it with FAITH. Believe in the lord, Merida. Don't stop for anything ...no matter what you see while reading this, do not stop. Keep going. You'll then know when to stop. Understand ?" She said looking into my eyes very seriously.

"I understand."

Mabel's head turned quickly, and she had a frightened look on her face.

"What's wrong ?" I said concerned.

"He's coming ...." She answered.

I could feel the tension rising as we stood there in awe.

Quickly I snapped us both out of it.

"Don't worry. I got this. I need you to go back up there and leave it to me."

"B-but where would you hide ?" Mabel said, not letting go of my right arm.

"It's okay, ... Mabel I need you to go back up there ...now....please."

Finally she let go of my arm and turned back into this bluish glowing light. I watched her as she floated up above and I began digging through my backpack for the potion that Mr. Conrad gave me.

I could hear and feel Michael....I mean the demon getting closer and closer.

Reacting quickly, I drunk the potion as fast as possible. I felt a little weird inside. I saw my hand disappear and my legs, and I felt the rest of me fading away.

Before I knew it, my entire body disappeared. I grabbed hold of the Bible Mabel gave to me and went at the top of the stairs.

From there, I watched Michael walk in ......

I hope he doesn't see me .....

Otherwise, if he do, I'll have to think of another plan ....
