Chapter 12: Missing

Dealing with an evil house like this is just too much for a person. But considering the fact that I've been through a lot over the past years, i'am strong enough to handle this terrible burden that came upon me and the innocent.
Mr. Conrad, the dean, firmly told me about a special ingredient to defeat this mysterious forces of evil. However, he didn't tell me what this ingredient look like....
I wonder why....

Anyways, before going to defeat darkness alone,...I took it upon myself to visit my friend Michael who has been in the hospital too long.
I wanted to say "goodbye" just in case I.......just in case i don't make it..
After school was over I made a plan.

1. Visit Michael
2. Head to my house and grab weapons and have the potion that Mr. Conrad gave me and
3. Go to house ...ready for war.

Soon as the bell ranged I quickly grabbed my things and rushed out of building as if someone was chasing me.
I walked directly to the hospital in which Michael was located in, and I asked for the nurse. This time I didn't need directions to visit Michael because I've been here so many times, that I memorized it.
But
I'm getting off subject here...
I walked towards Michael room and walked inside. Before observing the room I began talking to Michael.
"Hey Michael I just came to visit you beca-....."

Before I could finish my sentence I noticed that Michael was not there and the big window was OPEN.
Within a short time I began to panic.

Where was Michael ? Who took him ? How did he escape ?!

Thinking fast i decided to rush to the open window and look for clues or signs of Michael.

There I saw footsteps of blood.
What was going on ?

Being confused, I decided to take action without thinking.
I was going to follow the footsteps ...

I easily went out the window and climb down. Luckily For me, Michael's room wasn't too far from the ground.
I began following the footsteps ...
Wherever Michael went, he must of walked far.

-End Of The Footsteps-

Finally, I was at the end of the footsteps. It led me to this forest looking place that I've came across only once or twice since I've moved here.

Although the footsteps ended, I took it upon myself to observe the woods to see if Michael was there.

I'm scared...confused, and don't know what's going on....but I remembered to be brave. I'm not going to let Michael down.....
Still walking in the woods, I was STILL looking for Michael...

But something strange happened ...
I heard two people voices....they sound angry.....and I believe they are having an argument.

Where was it coming from ?

Being cautious, I now decided to move gently..
Maybe they're the people who took
Michael ...

But something caught my attention...one of the voices sounds very familiar ...
Is that Michael I hear ?

Curiosity began to take over my mind...I decided to move closer....

Closer....

And closer....
I see them ! I see two people and one of them IS MICHAEL ...
But who is that man he's arguing with ?
Before taking action, I took it upon myself to ease drop and listen, my instincts told me to do so.

-Conversation between Michael and the Other Guy-
Guy: "I don't CARE what you say...you stole a person's body...and I don't want to be involved anymore ..tell my secret go right ahead ! But I'm not going to be apart of your evil plans to rule..."

Michael: "Give me the amulet ..... Or you'll suffer the consequences ....."

Guy: "I said NO ! Don't you GET IT ?!! Making yourself power won't do anything for you Micheal. I mean don't you get it ?! And you STILL haven't told me the purpose as to why your doing something so sinister. WHAT IS THE REASON FOR DOING THIS ?!! TELL ME NOW !!!"

Micheal: "For years ! I suffered ....even after DEATH !! No-one helped me .... Nobody. ..... AHAHAAHAHA ..... since your not helping me .....

Guy: "what are you doing ?...... ...Micheal. ..we can talk this out...."

Right there, before my eyes. I watched Micheal as he killed the guy. He took the guy soul out of his body as he was slowly dying and then he walked away. ....

Why was Micheal being like this ? Was he part of the haunted house all along ? Or was he planning on taking my soul to gain power even more ?!!

The thoughts began running through my head ...
I don't know what to do .....

Without thinking I decided to remove myself from behind the huge rock in which I was hiding at.

That was a big mistake ....

"Merida Merida Merida .."

I turned around quickly out of fear and couldn't speak because my body was filled with shock. However I gathered up enough courage to finally speak.

"Micheal....what are you doing ?...wh-why did you kill that man ? I SAW YOU .....WHAT'S GOING ON ?!!"

"Couldn't you see ? I had to kill him." he said with no emotion on his face.

"But WHY ? ....how could you do this ? I thought .... I thought-"

"YOU THOUGHT ? you thought what Merida ?! You thought we was friends ?! HAHAHA ! Man your such dumb girl ! No wonder no one likes you, not even your own mother. ...."

My eyes began to fill with tears. Not of sadness ....it was because of anger.

Micheal continued.

"ME ! I'm the one that's killing everyone And taking souls. Does that answer your question ?! One day ill be even more powerful and have everyone PAY ! Scared Merida ? You should be ...."
He said as he moved closer towards me ...

But I happened to notice something ... Why is Micheal eye color black ? Michaels eyes are originally light brown ...

" wait ....your eyes...... Your not Micheal ..."

"What ?"

"I said your NOT MICHEAL! " I said bagging up.

Micheal stood there in silence for 8 seconds.

"Merida I didn't want to do this. ... But you leave me no choice. .."

I kept bagging up slowly as I watched Micheal pull out a knife.

Quickly micheal ran towards me in attack mode. Before he stabbed me I moved just in time.

He grabbed me by my neck and began strangling me onto the ground.
He got on top of me and was aiming the knife at my heart.
Using one hand i was fighting with all my strength to prevent the knife from entering my body.
I used the other hand and grabbed a handful of loose dirt and threw it into Michael's eyes. I took his arm, in which the knife was in, and made him stab himself.

A cry of pain escaped from his mouth
"AAAAAAAHHHH-AH-AH !!!!!!"

I pushed him off of me and began to run for my dear life as fast as my legs would take me.

I looked behind me saw Micheal chasing after me with his injured left leg.

While running, the thoughts began to flow inside my head....

Will I make it ?

Or....

Will I become a lost soul ? ......
