i don't know what happened to me

you dragged me into your beautiful bullshit

 and consumed me with

your love.

i made a mess of you

and pretended i was fine

dragging you along as i burned,

thinking you'd make it out alive.

[where there's a flame someone's bound to get burned]

you gave me everything

 i could ever dream of

to wake up to your smile

the sparkle in your eyes

the way you looked at me,

you were in love with me.

and that's okay

because i fell in love with you too.

a mess

i could tell you how messed my mind really is

or i could end this

telling you the one thing i never lied about

the one thing that will never change
