I moved aside and aided everyone else up. My hand dawdled on Adley's taking as much time as possible, before the situation became weird. Plus, it wasn't as if she was shoving me off. She didn't look like she minded.
Anyways, we emerged into a hallway. There was one light, hanging from the ceiling, in the middle of the hall.
"Left or right?" Trey asked.
"Left, obviously," Kelley said, tearing past us, leading the way to the left.
I couldn't help but notice how Jonah stared at her behind as she walked. Adley followed, and Jonah did the same to her. My blood boiled. I walked up to him.
"Hey, stop that. Eyes off," I commanded.
"What are you going to do about it?"
"Do you want to find out?"
"Well, now I'm curious. I do want to find out."
I couldn't help it. I punched him in the jaw. His head reeled, and he stumbled back.
"Oh that's it, you little fu-"
"Boys, stop that," Shay said, calmly.
We obviously didn't listen to that. Jonah jumped me, tackling me to the floor. I grunted, he was very heavy. He punched me. I slammed my fist into his head.
"Hey, stop that! Guys!" Trey yelled, yanking Jonah off of me.
"He's a douchebag!" I yelled.
"Oh really? Hm, what'd you say bout me? What'd you say bout me?" Jonah stepped closer to me, puffing out his chest.
"Hey, hey, hey! We're trapped in a creepy hotel, we have to stick together! Just quit your fighting, idiots," Trey stepped in between us.
"What's going on?" Adley asked, coming back around the corner with Kelley in tow.
"Nothing," the three of us guys muttered at the same time. No one was willing to admit the idiotic act that had just occurred. I promised myself that I would try my best to get along with Jonah, no matter how much he made my blood boil. Unless he touched Adley. If he laid a hand on her, he's dead, no matter what. I'd kill him myself, if this place didn't first.
"Then let's go! Come on, people, we don't have all day," Kelly said, exasperated.
We nodded sheepishly and followed along behind the two leading girls. Shay was in the back again. Shay probably could have gotten abducted and no one would have noticed for hours. I wondered if that was how she liked it, being invisible, melting into the scenery.
We walked along in silence. I don't know if Adley fell back, or if I sped up, but what I do know is that Adley and I found ourselves right next to each other again. Either it's multiple coincidences, or someone in the group is a hard core Tuckley shipper.
I was pretty sure that I was a Tuckley shipper too. Our ship name was pretty cute, if I do say so myself.
We turned the corner and a line of about five hotel rooms came into view. Each one of them was labeled thirteen. Apparently, someone couldn't count. The numbers don't go 13 13 13 13 13. I was pretty sure anyways, I mean I could have been wrong. I was just a jock, remember, not the brightest.
"Perfect, there are rooms here. Let's stop for the night, eat some food, and get some sleep," Jonah suggested.
No one argued, so the decision was made. By then, it was around eight at night anyways. We all piled into the first room. I cautiously scanned the area, looking for anymore creepy clowns. I didn't see any.
