School felt like a life time ago while I was buried deep in my own sub-conscience. The bell ringing made me feel ecstatic, school was out, well for the rest of the day that is.
Sliding into my Ferrari F430, I felt free. I was in love, well with this car! Looking in my rear view mirror, I see Lydia walking to her car.
I had no choice but to watch her. I know that one day I won't be able to blame my job, for my attentiveness.
How oblivious is she? Every guy in the school was watching her every move. She can have anyone, why would she even consider me?
My car purrs to life, the sound sent electric currents through me. One last look at Lydia, knowing it won't hold me over until tomorrow. I sped off the school parking lot, without another glance back.
~LYDIA ~
"Lydia !" I turn around at the calling of my name. "Hey Jessica!" I was still a bit distracted, so my smile was off.
"What's wrong?" She sounded strange, she's smiling? Why?
"It's nothing really, I'm just a bit .... Distracted. Nothing major." She's still smiling at me, why?
"Oh you know I don't believe you right?" She couldn't stop laughing. She's dying with laughter.
"Why don't you believe me?" I ah, want so badly to understand her.
"Oh like you don't know , Mrs. Colt." She's diabolical . My cheeks I'm sure were scarlet red. My face felt like its crumbling.
"Yeah well you don't know anything, so just get in the car, so we can go." I raise my eye brows at her face, her eyes are burning with excitement.
We slide into my car. My parents thought a dependable car was best for me, since I was a magnet for danger. Most people would've killed for a Lexus IS C, but I wouldn't have.
Seeing Austin's Ferrari, speed out of the parking lot, a sigh escapes me. He doesn't even know how desirable he is. Everyone talks about him. Every girl stares at him and he's just so oblivious to it all.
How could a girl like me have a chance with him? "So?" Jessica was pestering me, with questions. She brought me back to reality.
"So, what?", I was done trying to avoid or even block her out. She wasn't going to stop until she dug deep enough.
"He likes you!", her voice, flowing with excitement. I seriously cant believe her. No matter how much I tried, I just couldn't.
"Who?" I knew who, I just wanted her to say it. Acting dumb is all I'm good at.
"Oh shut up, you know who!" She was sorta pissed at my stupid response. Aha
"What makes you say that or even think that for that matter?" I gave her that I'm going to kill you look, unless you answer me.
"Didn't you see him? I mean come on, he was practically throwing himself at you." Her voice paints a picture of him in my mind. She was serious.
"That's not at all true." My voice let out a bit of sadness as I admitted the truth.
"I was just giving back his pen that he let me borrow, you know for Mr. Hamilton's class?" Taking my eyes off the road , knowing that me doing so was dangerous, but I had to look at her face.
Her lips were all puckered, she was hoping for something more, obviously.
"Well, ah you're so not fun, anymore! You couldn't even let me have a happy moment for you?!" Jessica's upset with me, over something she made up in her mind, unbelievable .
All I could do was laugh at her, she was over exaggerating like always. Jessica and I met in elementary school. We've been best friends since, practically sisters.
Everyone thinks we're sisters, but only because we live together. Her family threw her out, they were always abusive and I don't tolerate abuse, so I took her in. My parents didn't mind much.
They weren't thrilled, but what choice did they have? Exactly no choice.
"Well he obviously is interested in you. He's always staring and he's your personal "life saver"." As much as I wanted to deny her, I couldn't.
Ever since he showed up a year and a half ago, he's been there. I always feel as though he knows more about me than he leads on. Freshman year was the year my life changed.
Austin was the new object, all the girls wanted him. At first I thought he was a jock. He fit the description, but he's never even had an interest in a sport.
Damn shame if you ask me. He was muscular then and still is. I swear if I look hard enough I can see his abs through his shirt. He's blonde, gorgeous, and mysterious.
Sometimes I feel as though I'm stalking him. I just can't help, but get caught up in him. He's like a magnet, a magnet I gravitate towards. A Ferrari awoke me from my mind.
Did I go to the wrong house? "Omg it's Austin Colt!!" She was practically bouncing around in her seat. "This can't be happening." Shock was all I could feel and anyone could see that on my face.
Why is he here? I didn't want him here. I wanted him gone, knowing I will say something stupid to him.
"Oh BELIEVE ME, IT'S HAPPENING!" Excitement coated her voice and she looked like a child on Christmas Day, about to open presents. Pulling into my driveway, I couldn't help, but blush. What's happening to me!!? I parked, frozen in my seat.
"Oh my GOD!! I'm going to go inside and leave you two alone, give me the keys!" Turning towards her my face was frantic.
"Relax! There's nothing to worry about, now give me the keys!" She was smiling, probably grateful it wasn't her that had to go and talk to him.
We both got out, While I'm turning towards the Ferrari, Austin is getting out. He's looking more like a model, about to get ready for a photo shoot.
I felt sick. He's wearing his leather jacket with a blue V neck and a pair of jeans. His hair was put up with jell, not to much jell, but enough to hold his gorgeous blonde hair. Everything about him makes me feel all giddy inside.
My hearts pounding so fast, he's smiling at me, I smile back. "Hey!" His voice lingers in the air. I wonder what he wants ? His eyes mirror mine. At this moment I know I have feelings for Austin Colt, feelings I can't deny any longer.
