I looked behind me a goofy smile playing on my face. Been two days since the storm and I've made many friends.
Most of them dragons.
Right now; however, I was playing something similar to tag. Toothless was it and I was running away from him and completely ignoring everyone else.
Some dragons were also playing, but they didn't really get the game and stopped quickly.
So; overall, it was just Toothless and I playing it with was fantastic and fun. But that look behind me meant I couldn't see in front of me.
Or in other words the black dragon that took the chance and jumped me. Both of us crashing to the ground giving chuckles.
I actually really enjoyed Toothless's presence. It was nice and he had the similar vibe around him that I have. One that meant you can trust me.
"I swear you two are brothers." Hiccup muttered lifting up a barrel full of fish.
Toothless instantly got off and went toward the food as I stayed where I was, smirking if possible, as Hiccup said, "No Toothless. You can't have these fish. Too-Toothless!" Hiccup yelped as Toothless knocked him over and started to eat some of the fish that dropped.
Getting up and making my way toward them I pushed Toothless's head before he could even steal a bit. He started to grumble and I lifted the barrel up to help Hiccup put the food back.
Picking up a piece and putting it in the barrel Hiccup stood up, dusting himself then chided Toothless, "Bud, you know this food is for the winter."
Toothless at least had the decency to look a little ashamed. Rolling his eyes Hiccup looked over to me, "Thanks Odin." he said
I gave him gums full smile and he laughed and started to help pick up the fish. Valka passed us with a barrel of fish in her arms too and just said, "Toothless?"
"Toothless." Hiccup agreed with fondness in his voice. I smiled and looked around feeling like something was going to happen.
My ears on full alert I moved my head trying to locate something, "What's wrong Odin." Instead of answering I folded my wings out and was quickly airborne and going to the highest peak on Berk.
Settling down I used my epic sight and looked all around this island.
I finally spotted what my instincts were telling me about. 50 miles out was a fleet of ships, "Odin?" Hiccup's voice brought me back to reality as he rode Toothless.
Then he saw the ships and he paled a bit, "We have to warn the town. Get the dragons prepared. I have a feeling these aren't friendlies." I nodded even if he didn't see it and opened up my white wings and dove off into the air.
Making my way toward the stables I started to squeak as I flew between dragons, their heads popped up and looked at me. The older ones already going toward their rider and waiting for them and to get their saddles.
Some of the baby dragons I was able to coo to get them into safety, of course some tried to escape my mouth as I picked them up and put them in a safe place but for the most part they relented and followed me.
It was only the really young ones and the mischievous ones I had to carry because they were trying to get out and cause mischief.
In no time Hiccup spread the word and dragons were saddled and ready to for fight if it lead to that. We still didn't know who was coming toward us.
As the ships got closer there was still no flag, in fact, they didn't seem to really have a flag. In places there was nothing but the cool air.
I was standing next to Hiccup and Toothless as Hiccup was looking through a wooden telescope that was actually nicely crafted with the wood from the forest.
"Do you know who they are?" Astrid asked coming toward us with Stormfly right behind her.
"They don't have a flag." Hiccup said still looking through the scope, "And I think...wait I think I can make out a person. Oh, oh no." Hiccup said adjusting the scope.
"Who is it?" Astrid asked talking the words out of my dragon mouth.
"It's Dagur." Hiccup said
"Oh." Was Astrid's reply, "I'll tell the others. You may want to fill in your mother on how Dagur is."
"That's a good idea." Hiccup replied while on my end my mind was spinning trying to figure out who this Dagur was.
Hiccup was already on his way toward his hut to talk to his mother and I scrambled to catch up. However, it was short lived because just as he entered the hut and I was also he slammed the door in my face.
Not actually, that would've hurt, but I was close enough to feel the air hit my face. Hiccup started chuckling and I swang my tail at him and went toward the window to listen.
"They call him Dagur the Deranged and he has this idea that we're brothers." Hiccup started before I was rudely interrupted by Toothless sitting on my head.
Literally sitting. That jackarse he's going to get what's coming to him. I was able to get him off me before I tackled him and started to tug on his ear playfully.
Toothless yelped in a bit of surprise before I saw this glint in his eye that my eye also featured and he tackled me right back.
We wrestled for a bit, couldn't actually really tell. Could've been hours for all I care about, until Hiccup finally came out and told us to knock it out.
Huffing as I was laying on Toothless to keep him from really moving I got up with a huff and made my way toward Hiccup chin held high knowing I won this fight.
That was until Toothless tackled me. He Back-Tackled me! Me!
He had this damn(dam if you prefer) goofy grin and I narrowed my eyes but before I could do anything HIccup stepped between us his hands and body separating us, "Knock it off you two. If you remember we have to deal with Dagur."
Huffing once more I gave a look to Toothless that said, 'this isn't over.'
He just had that damn grin on him looking far too pleased with himself for my liking.
