It was raining. A steady beat upon the roof. The drops of water tapped on the windows and on the leafs in trees outside the small building. It was a constant rhythm, one so strong yet quiet it reminded Jack of one of those creepy lullabies.
The lullabies parents would sing to their kids before going to bed. The song itself was always messed up or just didn't make sense at all. Jack would sometimes ponder on them as it rained, asking himself why humans sang messed up songs to their kids as the little ones fell asleep.
If Jack ever had a child he would sing of pleasant things, of kind things and of soothing descriptions of wonderful places. Not of diseases and cribs swinging in trees.
Yet Jack knew he would never have a kid, so he never though about the words he would sing to capture these feelings and images.
It had been raining for a few days, and the weather showed no sign of improving. It was an off and on sort of rain. At times it would lighten up and sprinkle, at other times it was a down pour.
Jack refused to hunt in the rain, sprinkling or buckets. It made his self assigned job a hundred times more difficult. But his stash of food, organs and meat of the sort, was getting low and Jack was already cutting back.
Unsure and worried he had called his friend for help. Yes, a strange occurrence indeed.
Not only did the cannibal ask for help, but he was also worried which did not happen often. Also, friend was a title he does not gave just anyone.
Calling his friend they chatted a moment before he explained the predicament he was placed in. His friend laughed, causing Jack to mumble for the rest of the conversation, and agreed to help him. Jack knew he was in debt to his friend now, but wasn't worried about it.
He and his friend have known each other for some time now. As funny as it is now, they had meet in quite a situation. Jack had been hunting, and his friend had been the pray.
Jack had snuck into an abandoned house, having seen another man step foot inside alone. Shutting the door behind him and taking out his most recently cleaned and largest scalpel the organ eater snuck through the house after the other.
Finding the man standing in the kitchen with his hood up Jack ran a few scenarios through his head before deciding to just walk up and kill him.
Unknowing to what the man was capable of Jack was surprised when the hooded figure turned around and fired a gun at him. Lucky for the cannibal, the man missed and swore loudly. Confusion patted Jack's back as he stared at the yellow hooded man.
The other had a mask, a mask with two felt red eyes and frowning felt lips. "Who are you?" He sneered holding up his gun.
Jack held up his hands and stood silently behind his crying mask.
"I said who are you!?"
The cannibal's stomach growled and he knew it was either eat this man or go hungry for another day.
Holding on for another few moments Jack beelined it for the room he just came out off. The gun fired again just behind his head.
For the next two hours the masked men fought each other using many different fighting styles. From hide and seek with a gun to tag with punches, the men fought without much of a break.
Catching the yellow hooded man off guard Jack stabbed him in the stomach, forcing his scalpel through the yellow hood and skin. Gasping and choking the hooded one held onto Jack as he slowly fell from consciousness to black, knowing these were his last moments.
"W-who..?" The man gagged, saying his last words and using them on curiosity.
"..Jack." The eyeless man said in the others ear before he passed out.
