It was time for me to be getting home so me and Logan hopped into his death mobile. I looked behind us as the wood was growing smaller and smaller in the distance. "You know what ?" Logan spoke up. "You are the first person who hasn't asked me what has happened to or with my parents." He chuckled. "What do you mean?" I asked sounding stupider than ever. "Well normally when people heard I have a foster mother they start asking what happened to your parents etc." He said so plainly. "Well do you want me to ask?" I said cocking my head to the side. He started laughing. "I honestly don't care. I was just saying." He said between laughter. I frowned. "Fine I won't ask." I scowled.
We reached our houses. We could see smoke coming from the field. "Ah shit." Logan muttered making me begin to panic. "What?" I said in a worried tone. "They're starting without us." He grinned as we got out of the car and headed towards the field. We hopped over the fence and saw our friends all sat around a little bonfire. Cam saw us first. " Rome and Logan Heyy grab a beer." He jumped up nearly falling back down again. They were all drunk. I opened my mouth to correct Cam when I heard Logan do it for me. "Fuck yeah and her name is Florence." He said approaching the cooler they had their drinks in. I followed behind him and got a drink and sat beside him in the little circle and beside some dude I've never seen before.
He had dark black hair that was put into a little quiff on his head. His skin was painted with tattoos and like Cameron he was wearing sunglasses at night.. I honestly give up with these people. " Ayeee Logan buddy I haven't seen you in years." He slurred while trying to steady himself to stand. " Levi Heyy!" Logan stood to embrace his friend. I moved up beside where Kelly was sitting "Hey Flo." She said calmly. "You seem different." I said while swallowing my beer. She began to giggle. " Im as high as a cloud in the sky my friend." I nodded. She then showed me the joint she was having. " I wasn't gonna share it but here have a hit." She said holding it out. "As flattered as I am I quit smoking all together." I said pushing the joint back towards her.
*flashback*
'Yes' I thought to myself I could finally inhale the cigarette smoke without coughing. Gwen is gonna think I'm a badass like she is. I waited at my window to look for Gwen and her friends. I threw the cigarette i practiced with out the window and popped a chewing gum in my mouth. Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. I pushed the box of matches and the box of cigarettes under my pillow. "Yes?" I called out " Hey Flo let me in." Gwen's voice chirped. I bounced to the door and pulled the door open. " I didn't see you come in. Where's your friends?" I asked mildly disappointed I couldn't show all of them how Bad ass I was. " I came home by myself I wanted to spend time with you." She replied tickling my sides. I tired to refrain from laughing but couldn't help it. "So what you wanna do?" She smiled. I tired to put on my most relaxed voice. "How about we just chill." I said laying back on my pillow. " Chilling is what my friends do lets play a game." Gwen suggested while pushing her short pink hair out of her face. "But do your friends have these?" I asked pulling the packet of cigarettes from under my pillow. "Florence! Where did you find them?" She jumped. "Relax just have a smoke." I said trying to maintain my cool facade even though I was worried because Gwen was raising her voice at me. "You're 10 Flo, this is too dangerous. You should never smoke." She said snatching the box from me. I began to tear up. "B-but I just wanted to be like you and your friends because you guys are all cool an-" " None of us smoke Flo smoking is not cool ." I started crying "Please don't tell Mom or Dad." I sniffed. Gwen wrapped her arms around me. "Because I'm the best sister ever I won't but, Never do that again." I nodded and promised.
*end of flashback*I stood up from my spot and headed towards the fence. "Flo, Where you going." Logan stopped me. He spun me around and pulled me up against him. We were so close again. " I've got to go." I said trying to release myself from his grip. "Oh okay well did you have fun today at least?" I looked into his eyes and half smiled politely "I really did." I tired to leave again but this Time he ran In front of me and held my hands. "Something's wrong talk to me Flo, Im here for you." His eyes were searching for the answer in my eyes. I began to tear up. " I.. n-need Gwen." I sobbed softly. He hugged me in the most comforting way. "It'll be okay Flo." he said kissing me on the forehead.
I was crying into his chest when I felt him lifting me and putting me back down on his lawn. He sat down on the grass and pat the patch of grass beside him indicating me to sit down beside him. I obeyed and he pulled me closer to him causing me to lay my head on his shoulder. "Why are we here?" I strung together. "It's quieter here and there are no drunken and high idiots marching around, plus I did promise no drink on this date." He said running his hand down my spine multiple times sending chills throughout my body. " Well I do need to get home." I said trying to clean myself up of tears. "Well text me when you get home yeah?" He asked gently. I scoffed pushing a piece of my hair out of my face with a slight grin on my face. "Wow desperate much?" I chuckled. His eyes opened widely then shortly after narrowed as a smirk appeared on his face "Only for you gorgeous ." My cheeks wanted to redden but I dismissed it. "Fuck off dickhead, Bye." I laughed as I headed off to my house to find my mother, my father, my brother and some strangers
