Two Recruites in One Day

Fenris lead the way to the mansion. It was a lot bigger in person! Once we were outside of it he stopped. "Denarius may know we're here." he said "Before we go inside you should know that he is a very powerful blood mage." "Great nothing better than a prepared mage." Hawk joked as we walked toward the door. Bethany and Merrill both went home, Bethany because Hawk didn't want their mother to worry and Merrill because she was so tired she was falling over. It was now Hawk, Fenris, Varric, Isabella, and myself. We went by Lowtown to pick up Isabella on the way. As we got inside the mansion monsters started rising from the ground. "Demons!" I spit out angrily "Why does it have to be demons!" "It's always demons sweet thing" Isabella said. "True true" I said "Or at least whenever there is something worth fighting for." Fenris, Varric, and I fought the rage demon while Hawk and Isabella went after the shades. It was all going well until the rage demon hit me so hard I was slammed into a wall with a sickening crack. It really wasn't the wall that hurt as much as the burns the demon made. "Giggles! Are you alright?" Varric asked running over to me. "Yeah, I'm fine" I said getting up "Just a little traumatized is all" "That's understandable" he chuckled. We continued fighting demon after demon and in one room I found a key and put it in my pocket. After that room we finally made it to the main room. "He is in this room!" Fenris said standing in front of a door on the top of the staircase "I am sure of it!" "It's locked!" Isabella replied "And even I can't pick that one!" "We need a key" Hawk said. "Will this work?" I asked pulling the key out my pocket. Fenris tried it and it did but instead of Denarius we were greeted with more demons. Fenris and I fought side by side, defending each other the entire time. Isabella and Hawk did the same but keep closer to the center. Varric stayed on the stares giving help to whoever needed it. We did that until we had finally killed them all. "Gone!" Fenris said "I assume Denarius left valuables inside, take them if you wish. I...I need some air." Fenris left with that. "Um Varric do you have an injury kit I can borrow?" I asked. "Sure thing Giggles" he replied throwing it to me. "Thank you" I said as I began to wrap my burned side. We started walking outside with Hawk in front. "It never ends! I fled a land of dark magic only to have it find me at every corner!" Fenris exclaimed furious until he seemed to calm himself "I did not find Denarius but here is all the coin I have as Anso promised. Should you be in need of my assistance I would be glad to render it." "What do you think Em?" Hawk asked. "I think it would be a huge mistake to pass up the opportunity to have such an amazing warrior join us" I replied "If he wishes to." "You heard the lady!" Hawk said to Fenris "You're in!" "I will be here if you need me." Fenris replied. Everyone began to go home. I gave a small smile and began to walk away when he grabbed my wrist. "Thank you" he said "For saying such nice things." "Oh no problem!" I replied giving a big smile "I meant it!" "I could not help but notice that you seemed to have gotten injured in one of our fights." he said "Are you alright?" "Oh yeah I'm fine!" I replied "I'm Ember by the way but everyone calls me Em... I don't think I ever told you." "You did not though nether did I" he said "I am Fenris." "Well it is very nice to meet you!" I said "You wouldn't happen to need any help cleaning up those corpses would you?" "That would be nice" he replied. We cleaned and talked until there was nothing left to clean. We then sat down in the room we thought Denarius would be in and talked until I fell asleep.
