It had been several months since I had moved in with Fenris and about a week since The Deep Roads. I didn't get to go and Fenris didn't wanna talk about it. I have since realized that I have feelings towards Fenris. Nothing to serious. Just the normal, wanna be around him, like him voice, fantasize about marring him, enjoy his company. You know the usual. Okay maybe I liked him but how the freak was I supposed to tell him that! Little did I know he had come to the same realization as I had and was trying to find out how to tell me.
"Hey Fenris?" I asked as I came to the living room, certain I was gonna tell him.
"Yes Ember" he replied staring into my soul with his beautiful eyes.
"Would you like to play Wicked Grace?" I asked chickening out.
"Of course" he replied almost sounding disappointed. Strange.
We sat down and began to play.
"Ember?" he asked seeming to struggle with his words. "Yeah?" I responded. "Varric told me something quite strange the other day and I was wandering if you could tell me if it was true." he mumbled and I gave a simple nod and he continued "He said that you enjoy my company more than friends should."
To be quite honest I don't remember what I said next as my mind was going at a hundred miles per second, but it must have been what he wanted to hear because before I knew it he was kissing me.

            ~Three years Later~

Fenris and I had been together for three years and where happy. We both still worked with Hawk and played Wicked Grace with the gang all the time. Yet here lately Fenris was acting strange, and I didn't know why. He was nervous around me, he was more clingy in public than usual, he didn't want me to clean the house, and he was constantly hanging out with Varric.
"Ember" I heard Fenris call from the main room.
"Yeah" I replied leaning on the doorpost.
"I thought we could play a game of Wicked Grace and talk" he nervously suggested.
"Sounds fun!" I replied excited to spend time with him alone.
We played for hours, until out of nowhere Fenris slipped out of his chair and got on one knee.
"Ember Johnson, you are kind, you are a fighter, you are beautiful, you are perfect, and you are imperfect. I love you, and I can't imagine a day without you. I want to spend the rest my life with you. Ember Star Johnson, will yo-"
"Yes!" I screeched cutting him off as I tackled him into a hug.
He chuckled as he pulled away from me just long enough to put the beautiful ring with a small lapis lazuli in the middle, before crashing his lips onto mine.

            ~Six Months Later~

I was in a beautifully simple white dress with Varric standing beside me as we waited for our signal that it was time to walk down the isle. We had decided to have a small wedding in the mansion as that was more our style. I had Hawk's mom, Isabella, and Aviline as my bridesmaids, Fenris had Hawk his best man, Sebastian was our priest, and Varric was giving me away. Donic, Anders Merrill and a few others where there as well.
"You know you can back out now if you want giggles." Varric joked.
      "I'm good Varr-bear" I chuckled.
Just then the signal was given and we began to walk. We turned a corner and I saw Fenris in all his broody glory. I smiled so big it hurt and even lost a few tears as I realized that this amazing man was about to be my husband. I soon reached him and realized he had a few tears running down his smiling face as well. I had been so caught up in my beautiful broody elf that I almost didn't hear the thick Irish accent of Sebastian as he told me to say my vows.
"Fenris, from the moment I met you I wanted nothing more than to be there for you. To make sure you never felt alone, that you where never hurt. So I vow that from this day forward I'm either with you or waiting for you, I vow to beat down anyone who hurts you, physically or emotionally, I vow that I will fight along side you no matter the battle, and I vow that I will love you even when you tic me off. I'm by you side and if anyone wants to get to you, there gonna have to get through me."
    "And you Fenris?" Sebastian asked.
"You are my family Ember. The only one I can remember. I want to protect you and be there for you as you have for me. I vow to hold you after every nightmare. I vow to cover you with a blanket every time you fall asleep in your favorite chair. I vow to have your be by your side and keep you safe through every scary adventure, be it dragons, or, somewhere in the distant future, children. I vow to love you even when you're annoying. So long as I live I'm going to work to keep you safe and happy."
"Now, Ember do you take Fenris to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Sebastian asked after we exchanged rings.
"I do." I sang with a smile so big it hurt.
"And Fenris, do you take Ember to be your lawfully wedded wife?" he continued.
"I do" he said his voice shaking with pure emotion.
       "You may kiss the bride."
