I even tried talking to other men, other rock stars. It was alright, they were nice, but it never got as far as getting in my jeans. And I think that that told me something really important.
Live seemed to be changing, and at the moment Steven was my happiness, even though we were both pretty messed up. He was seeing his two daughters a lot, and I could tell how much he enjoyed them. His face was bubbly whenever talking to him about his two girls. I had the privilege of meeting them, and being called " a part of the extended family." and I felt pretty honored.

" Can I tell you something?" I asked. I went out to a diner with Steven; we were having a deep discussion about "Dude looks like a lady" and Vince Neil. He, of course, ordered a rib-eye steak and potato dinner and I an old fashioned ground chuck cheeseburger.
" You have to piss again?" he laughed, noticing that I've been getting up a lot.
" Shut up," I roll me eyes, " No, but I think I skipped a period."
He frowned at me, picking up his rusty nails with his head resting on his hands, " Huh? What do you mean you THINK you skipped a period. Either you did or you didn't..."
" Well, I mean that I'm either supposed to start sometime this week."
" Ahhh. Well then just wait. But you know...." he squints his eyes and shakes his finger at me, " It would not surprise me if had a bun in the-"
" Bite me!"
He gnawed on his his dinner roll and ripped it;  I kicked his leg under the table, " Come on! You were doin him ev-ery-where every night while we were on tour! And did you ever call him back? You know he probably doesn't have your apartment phone number!"
" Oh shit..."
" This is ridiculous young lady, " he taps the ashes off his cigarette, " You've been goddamn depressed, and I will not have this anymore. I know that your unhappiness is not having him, and there are ways that you can fix this shit. I mean Jesus Christ! You two said things that were shitty, but, I mean, I do that every fuckin day! I have arguments with Teresa but, you don't see me not talking to her afterwards. Were not perfect, baby. No relationship is...and I know  you want him back--you know it too."
I sighed, knowing that he was right.
" And if you DO have a bun in the oven, You're gonna call him up and tell him."
It seemed fair, but it made my stomach have butterflies.
