I'm afraid of the monsters in my closet
The baying beast of the nightThey like to claw my door at dusk
And won't stop until SunriseThey stare at me through the piercing darkness
With nasty grins upon their faces
They chuckle at my anxiety and they hunger for my painI'm afraid that one night they're going to come for me.
They'll take me while the night is young and while everyone's asleepWhat they'll do to me.. well we'll just have to wait and see
But until then I can hardly sleep.I'm afraid of the monsters resting in my head and
I'm afraid of the monsters that lie awake under the bed.
