AN; omgomgomgomg!!! Finally, I can update!! Yay yay yay yay!!! I can't explain how happy I am!! ^.^
Okay, well, enjoy the next chapter my faithful army of fangirls!!* * *
Niel was genuinely confused about what was happening right then but he managed to figure out two things: one, the woman was Kerushii's mom and two, they were speaking in Spanish. The latter one was easy to figure out, since Niel couldn't understand a word they were saying to each other. The woman, whose name Niel figured was Raquel, and Kerushii talked for a while and they seemed happy enough to see each other, though Niel noticed that Kerushii didn't move any closer to Raquel.
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room changed. Niel couldn't quite place how it changed but it definitely did.
"Lo siento, Talia...lo siento..." Raquel whispered, but Kerushii didn't answer. She kept her gaze fixed on Raquel.
"Niel?" Kerushii asked, her voice tight. "I think we'll be going now. I'll wait for you outside." And with that, Kerushii turned around on her heel and walked out briskly. Niel looked over at Raquel quickly before turning to follow Kerushii. A thin hand on his wrist stopped him and he looked back over his shoulder.
"Por favor, please. Please make sure my Talia is okay." Raquel pleaded Niel, her eyes filling with tears. "Tell her that I love her and...and that he is next to her father."
NIel really had no idea what was going on anymore but from what he'd seen he figured that whatever was happening, it was serious.
"I'll do my best." Niel replied, not really sure what he'd agreed to. Raquel smiled and caressed Niel's cheek with her thin hand for a short moment.
"Thank you." Raquel whispered. "Go now. Go and make sure my Talia is okay."

Kerushii paced outside, in front of the main entrance.
How could....? I mean it's not even....how is that.......?
Her thoughts were whirling uncontrollably, like a tornado broke loose.
And what's taking Niel so long?
Kerushii walked over to the only bench near the entrance to the hospital and sat down, resting her elbows on her knees and breathing into her hands. The strange thing, even with what she had just found out, was that she didn't feel...anything. She didn't feel that she's close to having another panic attack, she didn't feel angry, she didn't feel like crying. Which is how she was supposed to feel, she guessed. But she didn't. The only thing she felt was...confusion.
The sound of the automatic sliding doors opening made Kerushii look up. Her eyes met Niel's and she saw how worried he was even though he tried not to show it. Niel walked over to Kerushii and sat down next to her.
"Your mom, she er..." Niel started, not sure how he should phrase it. "She asked me to tell you that he's next to your dad and that she....that she loves you."
They sat in silence for a while after that. Kerushii took a deep breath and let it out after holding it in for five seconds.
"You probably want to know what all this is about, huh?" Kerushii spoke, her voice soft. Niel didn't answer. Yes, he did want to know what happened but he didn't admit to that in case it would seem like he's sticking his nose into her business.
"Well..." Keurshii continued, playing with her fingers nervously. "Sergio, my brother, he um...died." Niel's eyes widened, he was just about to say something comforting but Kerushii hadn't finished talking yet.
"He commitied suicide." Kerushii's sentences became shorter, her voice more teary and tight. "He, um, he slit his wrists. He was only ten." Kerushii took in a deep breath. "This happened...a few months after I...after I moved to Korea." Kerushii finished the sentence quickly and closed her eyes, trying desperately to remain under control and not break into pieces.
Not right now Kerushii. Not right now. Wait till we get back. When we get back, you'll be able to go someplace quiet. Then you'll cry. But not in front of them.
But Niel had different plans. Before Kerushii could react, Niel had his arms wrapped around her in a steel hug. Kerushii resisted for a while, knowing that she'll end up crying but when Niel showed no intentions of letting Kerushii go, she buried her face into his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his waist. Niel never struck Kerushii as the type to be strong, with his skinny arms.
"I'm not too good with those sort of situations..." Niel admitted, his voice muffled by Kerushii's hair. Kerushii pulled away fom Niel, wiping at her eyes with the back of her hand.
"C'mon." Niel said softly. "Let's get back to the hotel." He kissed Kerushii's forehead softly.
Maybe Niel isn't playing around with me after all?
AN; Right. I know I'm dramatic and depressing with my stories. Don't judge. I'm not good at writing other type of stories (and I tried). Do not worry, my dear fangirls, more shall be revealed in the next chapter. Which, I hope, will come soon. :)
Don't you just LOVE cliffhangers?
