Apparently, the two groups belonged to Rachel.
She had told us that her Beta, her mate, persuaded their Alpha to give her at least some protection once she had informed them both that she had intended to visit me.
"Now, let's get down to business," Rachel started, sitting up straighter as I cleared my throat and mirrored her action.
We were sitting on the red sofas in the new, Pack Living Room in front of a wide, screen TV whilst her two groups of bodyguards were chatting with Aiden's men outside."So, what does Aiden know that I don't?" I questioned, glaring at Aiden who was sitting right beside me, his arm possessively around my shoulder.
"You're in danger Davina," she said, cutting right through the bullshit as she clenched her fists on her lap.
I tilted my head in confusion as I could feel Aiden stiffen beside me.
"Someone is out for revenge. Some needs the blood that runs in your veins.""Who would want revenge?" I questioned, clearly confused. "I did nothing. And why do they even need my blood? Are they vampires?"
"It's not about what you did but about what your father did and I am not certain on what he did," she answered, pausing before taking in deep breaths. "And your blood..."
What's wrong with your blood? My wolf questioned in confusion.
"You have the blood of both Rosales and Reginald running in your veins."I almost chuckled. "What's so important about them?"
"The Rosales blood is from the bloodline of the first ever Alpha. Your father, of course is a descendant," she started, her hazel eyes focused on my facial features before continuing, "and the Reginald, your mother's blood, is from the bloodline of the first Beta."
"Both bloods combined make you a very powerful wolf and now that you also have the power of a Luna combined with it all, you could be a threat to all packs, especially the rogues."
A growl escaped Aiden's lips at the last word as I tried to register every information on what my cousin had given to me.
"What?" Was all I could managed to say."The last wolf that both had the Reginald and Rosales blood combined, she or he had been ripped apart on their eighteenth birthday but that had happened centuries ago," Rachel added with a small voice, not waiting for me to respond any further. "My pack is willing to stand with you."
"How is she a threat?" Aiden questioned as his hands squeezed my shoulder in reassurance.
"The power within her," Rachel answered calmly. "If someone were to have a taste of that blood, who knows what it will do to the? The last people who tasted the combined blood has been cursed for life and nothing can undo it but remember, it's not just about curses. It can also do many things like your skills have been enhanced, you are more skilled than normal wolves but not as skilled as the strongest Alpha."
I stared at her in disbelief as she decided to continue, "but your mate and family, also the pack you've connected yourself to, are immune to it so that's the positive note."
"Did they know about it?" I questioned in a squeaky voice.
Rachel nodded sadly. "Your parents have been protecting you ever since birth. When someone murdered your pack, they were supposed to eliminate you but I think they got frustrated and decided to murder everyone which gives us a sign that they are hella desperate."
"What did you mean when you said that Aiden knows all of this since the very beginning?"
She turned her head towards Aiden before answering, "well, Alpha Aiden only knows half of the story which is the story of your bloodline but I am not quite sure if he knows about someone wanting your blood."
He gulped audibly, a blank façade falling over his facial features as he retracted his arm back to his side. "My uncle wants to kill you. He wants revenge because apparently, your father had killed off half of his rogue pack. He is determined to do whatever it takes to rip you away from me only because he had failed to do so with my mother."
I took in shaky breaths, m heart increasing its rate by the minute as Rachel suddenly spoke up again. "Rogues and other packs knows of the legend and that they think that the power of your blood can help them become strong, stronger than an Alpha. Only a few people know about this. The story was meant to be kept between the elders and I. Your parents had me promise them that I will tell you all of this if something ever happened to them before they got the chance to tell you."
My stomach churned and my head started spinning as I suddenly stood up and ran out of the Pack House. I knew my wolf and I couldn't take it much longer as my legs were running as fast as I could, my ears were tuning out any noise as my heart hammered in my chest.
How could my parents keep such an important thing away from me?
As I passed some of my Pack Fighters, they glued themselves to their spots with a concerned facial expression but I knew that they were ordered not to follow me.
When I reached the inside of the forest, I was about to shift when I felt a pair of strong arms embracing me from behind as my heart rate started to slow down, my wolf leaning against it in comfort.
I turned around in his arms as I could feel tingles erupt everywhere in my body whilst Aiden tucked my head under his chin.
"I will protect you," he whispered quietly as I inhaled his delicious scent. "My pack, OUR pack, will stand by you through every step of the way."
I only nodded in response.

"Wow, this place is fucking big," Rachel commented, her eyes glazing over the entire Pack Ground.
During our ride home, Rachel and I decided to catch up on each other's lives like how it felt to live in Australia whilst Aiden would groan at the times when we would talk about girly things.
"Well, at least a quarter of Rachel is back," I whispered with a smile as she shook her head in amusement."I cannot curse unless my friends and I are alone," she responded, huffing in disappointment. "Because if I swear around my pup then my mate wouldn't like it."
"What's your mate's name again?" I questioned as we both plopped down onto the sofa in the living room of Aiden and I's mansion.
"Josh," she answered, sighing in content.
Her eyes roamed around the massive house, her jaw dropping. "I can't even with this place."I laughed. "Do you want me to show you around instead?"
She nodded like she was jack in the box. As I led her out of the mansion, my Pack Members were looking at her oddly, causing her to roll her beautiful, hazel eyes. The people who came with her stayed in the Pack House until they needed to leave. I pointed to where the Pack Hospital was as she made a comment on how large it was.
I also pointed the Pack Dungeons as she also commented on how small it was. It was probably small because Aiden loved to kill anyone who trespassed his territory so having a big dungeon wasn't really necessary.
Lastly, we skipped together like old times towards the large Pack House where she was also amazed on how massive it was.
"How many people live here again?" she questioned, quietly."I think around three hundred and fifty but he owns four territories so maybe around six hundred?" I answered and questioned at the same time as her hazel eyes widened at my words.
"I want to live here now."
