Things just didn't feel quite right. I felt so different. I had a different appetite, I felt stronger, faster, quicker, and worst of all, I didn't feel so much hate for claude which I hated myself for. I knew there was a change. In everything around me and in myself as well.
Currently i found myself wondering the halls of the once Trancy manor. The place was colder without the loud and pretentious little earl. Alois may have been insane, but when i looked into his eyes i saw a certain yearning. It broke my heart. Even with a monster as twisted as Claude, i saw the same longing in his eyes too, but Claudes eyes were too far clouded by the corruption in his dark mind. He was a demon after all. His morals were different. Then again, so was Sebastian and he was the only man who caught my heart so strongly.
I turned the corner and found myself standing in front of a door. A lone door among a dark hallway full of nothing but shadows and faint moonlight. I felt compelled to open that door. To see what was inside. Suddenly I found myself reaching for the knob of the door, my fingers coming into contact with the cold metal. With a slow twisting motion, soon the door was swinging open slowly and quietly. I stepped in cautiously, aware of the fact that danger might have been the very thing beckoning me to the room in the first place.
At first glance, I saw a bed sitting in the middle of the room. It was a four poster bed with a canopy lying long, the shade of lilac. A neat desk sat in the left corner of the room along a set of windows and the doorway to another room was to the right. I stepped closer to the bed and noticed a figure was sprawled across it. Claude. I softly exhaled the air in my lungs and continued closer to the sleeping Claude. If I remembered correctly, the books i had read stated that demons had no need to sleep, but did as a sort of recreational activity. I wondered though, what did a demon dream of? My eyes wondered to the dark hard wood floors of the room.
"You, my dear." an erie voice spoke out.
I jumped, my eyes averting from the floor to Claude who was now seated up right, one hand resting behind him holding him up, and the other sitting nonchalantly in his lap. He must have heard my thoughts. His eyes held a look of tire that i had not had the chance to whiteness on him before, but his lips kept that cocky smirk. "Is that so?" i asked simply as I watched Claude with my new eyes.
"Indeed, you're all i find myself dreaming of lately ____." Claude said as he looked down, the smirk growing on his face. "Wow, what an honor." I stated sarcastically. I moved closer to Claude, sitting on the bottom of the bed. "Why have you come to my chambers at this hour?" Claude shifted slightly and watched me closely. I sat for a moment thinking. "I felt an urge to come here. I don't know why." I stated quietly. "Well this is a pleasant surprise." Claude stated, laughing slightly at the irony. I felt his hand touch my shoulder and i flinched at his touch, but then I eased into the touch, almost as if it was Sebastian's. My head snapped to the side, my eyes landing on the hand and following up to his golden eyes. The eyes that repulsed me so. But tonight, there was a different feel. Even with his sadistic demeanor, I still didn't hate him so much anymore. Why?
I caught myself with my eyes closed, my muscles relaxed by his hand. I jumped up glowering down at the demon before me. "Don't touch me." I growled. Claude followed, bringing himself to his feet slowly, calmly. "You say this now but you seemed to be quite content just a few moments ago." He said grinning and coming closer to me. I began to back away. "Stop it. " I stated firmly, but I should have known from experience that those words had no meaning to him. I continued backing away until i bumped into the wall of the room, my eyes widening. His hands shot out at me, directly towards my face, but the speed didn't match the gentle caress i received from him. He dragged his hand along my cheek and jaw bone until his hand gently closed around my jaw. "Im trying for you my dear, can't you tell?" He asked. His eyes were full of struggle and attempt to stay cool and calm. "No. i still see the insanity in your very being." I said. He simply chuckled and came closer to my face, bringing his lips so close to mine i could feel his breath on me. But...did i want to? Before i did something i would regret I gave a shove as hard as i could sending the demon flying into the wall.
