Zach's POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock and see its time for school. Every morning I wake up to go to hell. Can't I just get one break? I get out if bed and go to my bathroom and look in the mirror. My cuts are pretty noticeable some if them are old some were done a month a ago, but all of them still look new. I go to my closet and put on a sweat shirt from H&M that says "focus on me" even though I didn't want anyone to focus on me I hate being the center of attention.

As I'm walking down the steps I see my dad sleeping on the stairs. Oh my god how pathetic. I walk pass him making sure to stomp extra loud. I grab my bookbag and leave the house.

----at school----

I walk to my locker and my friend Hannah comes up to me. "Heeeyy bitttccchh" I look at her "heeyyyy sllluuttt" we have a weird way of communicating. I love Hannah. Her outfits are always on point, and she's my favorite friend to be honest. Oh and we were both short, I'm 5'7 she's 5'5 and compared to everyone else we're little people. "So did you hear about the new guy?" I turn towards her confused. "There's a new guy?" She nodes. "Yeah I hear he's rlly hot" I roll my eyes at her comment. "I will rip your your eyes out" she says playfully.We laugh and hear the bell signaling we need to head to first period.

I walk into first period and sit in my normal seat. Right next to the brunette guy I never talked to before. I should talk to him sometime. The late bell rings and the teacher gets our attention. "Okay guys we have a new student his name is koda...." After she said that name I felt like time just slowed down.......can it be him? "Come in koda Dont be shy" she says to to koda standing outside the class. As he walked in all my fears came true......it is him, why is he still always finding me.

Koda is my ex. He's a horrible person. He would try to make me do things.....and would hit me when I said no.....which was very often, and he always comes back. He waves to the class. Thankfully the seat next to me was taken. "Koda why Dont you sit right here in the front" she says. We walks to his spot and looks back at me, but it was different then his usual evil look. It was regret. Why?

---afterschool---

Im at my locker putting my stuff away when I feel myself get pinned against the locker. "You think that Connor guy is gonna take you away from me. I've wanted you for awhile and its about time I have you." Koda whispered in my ear. "See you later zach." He said letting me go. Then leaving.

Koda's POV

Its not fair why is everyone always taking him away from me......I never wanted to hurt zach, I still Dont want to....what's wrong with me....
