Chapter 12

Charlie POV

The next day when we we're at lunch we had our own little table for the whole team except for Banks, he's one of them now, speaking of them here they come

"Hey, congrats on the Blake game" Said Riley

"Yeah right. We tied" I said back rolling my eyes

"Hey, a point is a point, we're all Warriors now, you guys have proved your guts...You guys set for dinner Friday?"

I was confused

"Dinner?"

"Well, see it's a Eden Hall tradition, varsity has to treat the freshman to dinner...so round up your posse and meet us at 6 at the Minnesota Club downtown? And if you need a ride we can take you"

Something isn't right here

"I mean, you guys do like steak and seafood right?" Riley said smiling

I guess its a good idea to go I mean it is a tradition

"Yeah we do" I said smiling

"Look, I don't like you pukes, all right, but its a tradition. At Eden Hall, I learned to care about traditions" said Cole walking away

"It's cool!" said Banks with the biggest smile on his face

"Oh it's cool, if Banks says its cool, we might as well go"

*FRIDAY NIGHT*

I got ready for our dinner with the varsity, its nice they are doing this for us, I just hope nothing goes wrong

I hear tapping on glass, it was Riley it looked like he had something to say

"On behalf of the Eden Hall Warrior Varsity State Champion hockey team, I'd like to welcome the furture state champs, the Eden Hall freshman....here here!!"

"Here here!!" we all clinked glasses

"We're just glad you loaned us Banksie so that we'd have a chance to beat you guys in the annual Freshman-Varsity showedown"

He is such a jerk

"Now, nobody move we've got one last surprise...fellas?"

"I love surprises" said Goldberg

"Banksie lets go"

This is getting weird, why are they leaving

"Don't worry, we'll be back"

"Guys, I don't want to spoil anything, but I overheard something in the bathroom, it's a cake...act surprise, all right?" said Guy with a smile

We all go excited until

"Look at that cake" Goldberg said laughing

"Thanks for dinner, Losers..."

"Oh man"

I knew something wasn't right, why would the varsity do something like this

"Eight hundrend and fifty-seven dollars" I said worried

"Where are we going to get that kind of cash"

We had to clean dishes, clean the bathrooms, and sdo all other sorts of stuff, it was horrible

"We got to respond" I said to Averman

"Physics, each action requires an equal if not bigger, reaction" said Averman

"Hey, be cool man, I don't want tomess up my scholarship"

I looked at Russ

"I mean lets not get caught"

This plan has got to work

*IN THE DORMS*

"Coast is clear come on" I said quietly

Avermen started pulling off a sticker on one of the doors

"Averman what are you doing?"

"It's a cool sticker"

Julie and Kenny put tubes in the varisitys rooms

"Careful, man. They don't call them Brazillian fire ants for nothing" said Russ

"Do you think he will notice they are missing?"

"I don't think he keeps a head count, Charlie."

We suck up as many ants as we can and head back to the dorms

"Release the hungry fellows"

I dropped every ant into the tubes and we all watched them go threw the tubes

Couple minutes later we hear them screaming, Julie tied the doors all together so they wouldn't be able to get out

"Let em out, let em out" I said laughing

"You think your funny, huh? You think you're worth a damn? You're just white trash!" said Riley angerly

"Uh, who you calling white trash" said Russ

"That's right, we'll take you anytime, anywhere" I said in a nasty tone

"Tommorw dawn! I gotta get to the showers!!!"

"Come again. Bye-bye, dinner was great. Thank You....Don't forget to wash behind the ears...Good-bye" I said while they where screaming like little girls
