Skylar's POV
I stayed at Kailas until lunch when I decided that I needed to go pay Mr Alpha a visit.
AUSTIN! WHERE ARE YOU? I yelled through our mind link once I reached the pack house.
A loud growl was heard before he was in front of me with black eyes. "Do NOT speak to me like that." Stupid Alpha ego
"Argh get over it Austin, this is about your mate!" I replied exasperated.
He his eyes instantly turned back to green as he looked at me in shock.
"How di-"
"She's my best friend, of course she going to tell me what happened." I rolled my eyes at him.
"Oh, right." He replied.
"Lets go to the waterfall to talk about this." I suggested.
He just nodded his head and we began walking to the tree line. I quickly stripped behind a tree and shifted into my Caramel coloured wolf. We took off into the woods until we reached our secret place. No one other than me, Austin, Levi and Nate knew about it. We stayed in our wolf forms and laid by the creek.
(You can all probably work this out but just in case S= Skylar A= Austin and they are talking through mind link)
A- what did Kaila tell you when you talked to her? Does she hate me? Does she want me to stay away from her? Do you think I have a chance with her? What am I going to do if she rejects me? I can't live without her!
S- Austin! Shut up!
He growled at me and I rolled my eyes at him.
S- you really hurt her Austin. And not just yesterday, you've hurt her so much and she doesn't know if she can trust you not to break her heart again.
This caused a ferocious growl to escape him as his eyes flashed black.
A- I will never hurt her again! EVER!
S- I know you won' t Austin, but you have to understand that she is human, and she doesn't have the same knowledge about mates as you. Therefore she only knows what you have done to her and not that you will love her and protect her no matter what.
A- ARGH, why does this have to be so hard! Why couldn't she just be a werewolf? Don't get me wrong I am so happy its her and wouldn't want to change who my mate was, but it would just be easier.
He laid his head down on his front paws as he whimpered.
S- hey, I know its seems impossible but you two are mates, and no matter how hard she tried she will never be able to stop the feelings she has towards you. I convinced her to give you another chance. So don't screw it up Austin! She turns 18 in 2 months, that's plenty of time to gain her trust back enough to tell her what we are, so you can mate her on her birthday.
A- Thank you so much Skylar. I will do everything it takes to make her trust me again. You're the best.
S- yeah yeah whatever. I um noticed earlier that you were struggling with you wolf, is everything ok?
A- No, ever since yesterday when I screwed things up with Kaila he has been ignoring me. He's making it painful to shift and doesn't say anything to me. Not even when you told me that she was going to give me another chance! He's completely silent! Sometimes I feel like he's fighting something, but I don't know what. I just hope me making it up with Kai will make him talk to me again.
S- wow, that must suck. I'm sure he'll come back once you start making progress with Kai. Just try not to worry about it.
A- I hope so. You ready to head back?
S- yeah lets go
We started to head back to the house before I remembered something. Kaila told me that Levi confessed that he had feelings towards her. Should I tell Austin? I guess he should know because it is his mate and Levi is his third in command.
S- Hey Austin
A- Yeah?
S-I just thought I should let you know that Levi told Kaila that he had feelings for her.
He suddenly stopped walking and growled, the loudest and scariest growl I have ever heard him create. His howl caused me to drop on to mu belly and bare my neck at him, showing my submission. I could feel the rest of the pack doing the same all across the territory. He turned to look at me; eyes pitch black and filled with possessiveness.
NO ONE TOUCHES WHAT IS MINE. He roared in our pack link.
He sprinted away in the direction of the pack house in search of Levi. I raced after him and mid linked Levi and Nate in warning.
Nate? Levi? Austin is coming for you Levi and he is really angry! Nate you need to calm him down otherwise he will kill Levi. I shut off the link and pushed my legs harder as I sped towards the pack house.
Once I reached the clearing I shifted and slipped on a dress.
"WHERE IS LEVI?" Austin's voice boomed.
Nate quickly ran up to Austin and tried to cam him down, but I didn't spare them a glance as I raced up stairs to my room in search of Kaila shirt that she left. Grabbing it in one hand I raced back out th front of the house to see Austin shove Nate to the ground. I ignored everyone's warning as I ran up to Austin and shoved her shirt in his face. He grew tense, anger seeping off him but then he took many deep breaths, inhaling her sent which calmed him down. By now a crowd had gathered and no one knew what was going on.
"EVRYONE LEAVE EXCEPT FOR LEVI AND SKYLAR." Nate yelled towards the rest of the pack members.
Everyone scampered away to the safety of the house as the rest of us watched as Austin's eyes slowly turned back to green, showing he was in control.
What the hell just happened Skylar? Nate and Levi yelled in my head.
I told Austin that Levi told Kaila that he had feelings for her and he flipped out and came after you. I yelled back at them.
Why did he freak out so much about that? They aren't even dating! And its not like they are ma.... Oh, please don't tell me they are mates. Levi looked at me pleading with his eyes for me to tell him his theory is false.
I looked to the ground, which confirmed his theory. He looked pained as he dropped his gaze to the ground.
"Levi, is it true that you have feelings for MY MATE?" Austin questioned accusingly.
"Yes Alpha, but I didn't know she was your mate." He replied back in a whimper.
"You are never to touch or try to take what is mine, and if you do, instant death will be your punishment." He threatened.
"Yes Alpha." Levi answered.
"Everyone can leave now, I have a mate to visit." He ordered.
