A Simple Prayer to Our Lord for Forgiveness and Strength

This poem is dedicated to all those who feel a great need for the Lord's grace and fortitude.

Dear Lord, Ruler of Heaven and Earth,

Jesus, untainted at birth,

Holy Spirit, ever present,

Please accept what I repent.

I fill my head and heart

With evil thoughts, poison tearing me apart;

My sharp words as piercing as a pin,

I beg to be cleansed, a mortal wallowing in sin.

Let me be malleable in your hands

An instrument of your will and demands;

Let me be your servant, doer of peace,

My devotion never cease.

Please bless all with your grace

Every member of the human race;

Let us feel your mercy and love,

And be given fortitude from above.

I praise and thank you again,

In Your Name I say Amen.
