It's Wednesday, it's been two days since I had the accident at gym class. I was allowed not to go to school until tommorow so I could feel better. Emy had called me and texted me everyday filling me in on every gossip I had lost those past days. I was so bored I didn't have anything to do, I had finished my homework and I needed to get some fresh air. If I stayed at my home any longer I would die of boredom, so I decided after dinner to go for a walk since I was feeling fine.

I helped my mom with the dinner and when my dad came back from work we sat down and ate talking about how our day was. When we finished I helped my mom with the dishes and told her that I was going out for a while. I was in a pair of trousers and a hoodie, I didn't bother to change so I wore my trainers, grabbed my keys and headed to the park.  It was getting dark outside and it was a little cold but I didn't mind. When I arrived I sat on a swing. I was alone, no one was around. Probably because it was cold and late. After ten minutes or so I heard crying, it was not human. I followed the sound to the part where the park had tall trees and bushes. It was like a small forest. The shound grew louder and it was coming from behind a bush. I got a little scared. What was I thinking following the sound? Maybe it was a trap and an axe murderer was waiting for me to kill me.

Nora shut up nobody is going to kill you, I hope...

Thanks brain, thanks a lot!

I took a deep breath and peeked behind the bush. I saw nothing but the crying continued I was sure it was coming from here. I moved some leaves and I was shocked from what I found there. There was a scared little puppy crying.

Someone must have left it. It wasn't older than a month. How cruel must be somebody to abandon a little puppy without its mom. I went to pick it up but it got scared and went to hide deeper in the bush.

"Hey little buddy don't be scared, I wont hurt you." I went closer and let it smell me. I saw that it was a boy. I started petting his little head and he stopped crying but he was still shaking. I picked him up and open the zipper on my hoodie and put him inside so he wont be as cold. I couldn't leave him here so I decided to bring him home with me. I always wanted a dog. I decided to end my walk earlier than I had planed and started to head home excited about the little dog I had found and hoping that my parents would let me keep him.

I arrived home quickly and found my parents in the living room watching TV.

"Mom dad come here we have a visitor." I said from the doorway.

"Who is it?" I heard my mom saying as they made their way over.

"Look what I found." I said when they could see me and took the puppy out of my hoodie still holding him close to me. When they saw that I was holding a dog both of them stopped walking and stand there staring at him.

"Where did you find it?" My dad broke the silence.

"I heard cryings so I followed the sound, stupid I know, until I came across this puppy. Someone must have abandon him and he is hardly one month old, I couldn't leave him there so I brought him home." I said while petting the dog's little head.

"Well..." My mom started saying but I didn't let her finish. I knew she wasn't fond of animals. Don't get me wrong she loved them but she was scared of them.

"Can we please keep him?" I begged I always wanted a dog. Being an only child I felt lonely sometimes.

"I don't know..." My mom said.

"Please, I promise I will take a good care of him." I knew my dad wanted to keep him as much as I wanted but he knew my mom wouldn't take it very easily.
