"Join you?" The she-wolf asked again.

"Yes, imagine how it will benefit your pack! Double the prey in this harsh winter, twice the company to celebrate the Winter Solstice with!" Feurige nodded up and down.

"Twice the mouths to feed, and twice the grumpy humbugs." She refuted, and back down into her den with one last flick of her tail.

"Wait! What about all that stuff I told you about Ignis!" He shouted and her disappearing form.

"Never heard of him." She yelled, and promptly vanished.

"Well, that was the last one." Ipa groaned.

"Maybe we don't need the other packs." I suggested.

"What we need, is to rid the idea of Lupa." Feurige answered back, miffed at another failed attempt.

We had already spent a week running around Eastern Coniurantum trying to make a joined peace of all the wolf packs. They knew Anguis had been acting reckless lately, but Ventus, Terrae, even Ignis (where the Auqa pack was staying) refused to help fight. Their leader Gregory, insisted they would only help until the fire damage was fully removed. And in the past week it had not only rained, but it snowed. It made the place feel a lot more like home. The good old numb feeling in your soaked paws, and having to check back when you were flying to make sure your wings didn't freeze up.

It had been a tiring journey, especially after being turned down, again, and again. Feurige was as downcast as the falling rain that turned to steam when it hit his fur.

"Oh well, let's get back to the Ignis pack and try again from there. The usual herd of caribou has probably started migrating again. We'll have something to eat for once." He sighed positively, stalking off. The places where his feet touched the snow fallen ground sizzling.

I loved snow. It was a random thought, but I truly did. In our little expedition, which only pertained of myself, Feurige, and Ipa, I had not seen a single tarce of my sister. Jay had put up a real hissy fit when I told him he couldn't come, then of course fell ill with a small cold and refused to leave the Healers den. We had left the rest of our group back with the Ignis pack, after the event with Aqua, Seirra had deemed it unsafe for us to be out on our own. The wolves didn't mind. Madrona loved playing around with Annabeth and Ocaso.

"I don't know what I'm doing wrong." Feurige huffed.

"It's okay." Ipa tried.

"You guys want to practice some flying on our way back?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Sure." He sighed.

I jumped once and snapped my wings open. I personally alway loved flying in the winter. It made you feel alive, with the freezing wind blasting your face so forcefully tears sprung from your eyes.

Feurige had to run and hop a bit, after Ipa sprung gracefully into the air. Soon the three of us were cruising along quite smoothly. Well, I was smooth, the other two kept making their downstrokes too heavy and nearly tipped themselves over. That was until, Feurige suddenly cried in shock and started dropping quickly.

At least he had the decency to keep his wings open. So it was more like a tilted drop.

I folded my wings and dropped like the bass. performing the arial stunt known as a stoop. When I got close enough, I latched my claws into the fur on the back of his neck and  thrashed upwards. My size in comparison to his mean't I didn't do much, teenager wolves are heavy.
