Iris' P.O.V.

"There was a time when I felt like a shadow of a person but even since I was able to show the world what I can do I feel like anything is possible and for once in my life, I finally have it all. But one thing I know for sure, nothing can ruin my mood today" I heard Kara smiling through our ear pieces. "Oh yeah? Orphan Black is getting canceled!" I joked as Kara laughed. "Nice try, Iris I know they're making season fi-" said Kara but I couldn't hear her over the sound of something exploding. "What was that? Kara? Kara?" I asked in a panicked state. "Meet me back at the DEO, now" she snapped, shutting off her coms.

Doing as she asked I ran back to the DEO. "Miss. West, what are you doing here?" asked Hank. "Uh, Kara told me to-" I began to explain but was cut off by Kara flying in with a chunk of what looked like a drone in her hand. "Thought I'd return this to you, I thought we were CLICKING" sighed Kara. I really need to get caught up, I'm confused. "Okay..." responded Hank, clearly also confused. At least I'm not the only one. "People who click don't spy on each other! I don't like being followed" snapped Kara. "Kara, I don't think that's D.E.O. property. If it was it would be marked or something" I suggested. "Miss. West is right, if we were following either of you, you would never know about it, this is not ours" he says as I had the drone to Alex who had walked over to see the commotion. "Then who's is it?" asked Kara now also a member of the confused club.

"Could it be alien? Astra maybe?" I asked, turning to Alex who was examining the piece of tech. "No it's definitely from earth but it is incredibly advanced" explained Alex. "Yeah, no kidding. It was like trying to swat a fly in a tornado!" exclaimed Kara. "Well, from coms it didn't sound that difficult, you blew it up quick enough" I added. I spotted Kara grinning from the corner of my eye. "If someone is targeting my assets, I want to know about it. I'll deal with this" insisted Hank sternly, picking up the drone and walking away.

Alex turned to Kara "You can trust him, Kara... You too, Iris." reassured Alex. "I know, I do trust the man. He's responsible and from what I can tell as a good head on his shoulders" I replied. "I hope your both right" sighed Kara. She turned to me and smiled "Race you to work?" I nodded and grinned, racing out of the building to CatCo and alas, I won the race.

I looked over at Kara's desk to see Winn struggling to handle Kara's desk work. "Winn you go I got this" I chuckled walking over to him. He nodded putting the phone down. I looked around to see if anyone was looking and while the coast was clear I used my speed to clean and organize Kara's desk. The phone began to ring but before I could pick it up Kara sped in and picked it up.

"Cat Grant's office this is Kara. She did, that's amazing. Yes, Yes! I will get right back to you!"

I raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Miss. Grant just won the Siegel Prize for Women in Media!" she explained. "Oh, yeah. She already knows. I didn't know that she could smile if it wasn't based on cruelty to others" added Winn. "No Winn, only cruelty to you" I smiled. Winn laughed and Kara hit my arm lightly. "Her ceremony is in Metropolis tonight. I better book a plane ride right away" babbled Kara. She looked towards Miss. Grant's office, starring in. I knew she was using her super-hearing to snoop so I didn't speak.

After a while of looking at Cat through the glass walls of her office, Kara stood up to walk in and of course, being her 'assist' I followed her in.

I dozed off while Kara talked to Miss. Grant but was snapped out my train of thought when I heard my name. "If you want Iris and I will look after Carter, while you're gone!" smiled Kara. "Even if Miss. Grant thought that was a good idea, Carter is 17. How could I look after someone older than me?" I asked trying to get out of whatever Kara was dragging me into. "Well come on your 17 next week and your extremely mature, you'd keep him company while I do the rest, what do you think Miss. Grant?" insisted Kara. Cat tilted her head while looking at Kara "What do you want?" asked the older woman. Kara froze for a moment before responding "You know how sometimes people just want to help other people?"

Cat began to walk around and said "Oh, I see. So you think if you just do me this favor that I will owe you something. Well, this is the first time I've ever seen this quality in you, Keira. I love it. I didn't know you had it in you!" exclaimed Miss. Grant. "This award is important to you. So, it's important to me." Kara smiled. "Maybe you will get that promotion someday," she said to Kara turning to me. "And maybe you'll get a real job here when I can legally hire you full time" she added to make me feel included. I smiled though. Somewhere in her head and heart Miss. Grant sees me as more than a useless slave of an intern.

Cat sighed and sat down. "You've both met Cater before around the office and on errands and what not before but he's as you said Iris, older. So he's a bit different now. He's still that shy, smart boy he's always been but he's more... outgoing nowadays. Just to give you two a heads up on that" "Yeah, he's a teenager I am one too, I get it you get older, you change" I assured Cat. "Don't worry Miss. Grant, he wouldn't be safer with Supergirl" Kara chipped in. "It's just annoying now, get my lunch, please. Out with the both of you"

Kara went to get Miss. Grant's lunch while I went back to my desk. I took out my phone and went into my contacts. Compose New Message; Carter.

Iris: Looks like I'm babysitting you while your mom's out of town today and tomorrow. What fun.

Carter: Iris, you're younger than me. How does that work?

Iris: That's what I said but Kara was the one who dragged me into it, anyway go to class or whatever you rich kids in private schools do.

Carter: At least I go to school, you're one of my mother's interns.

Iris: Oh haha. See you in a few hours. Up for a late night jog, tonight?

I never really told Kara and I don't think Carter told his mom that we were friends but I guess it doesn't matter considering we don't know each other beyond the boundaries of CatCo and texting. Oh, well I guess I'm not even working tonight if I think about it. I'm hanging out with a friend.

Carter's P.O.V.

I was sitting in English when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I quickly checked to see who it was; Iris? Why is she texting me? I read the text; Looks like I'm babysitting you while your mom's out of town today and tomorrow. What fun. We texted back and forth clearing up what was happening with my mom tonight and tomorrow before I heard my name. "Carter?!?" yelled Mr. Belford. "Yes?" I responded. "Would you mind reading off what is so interesting?" he snapped. I looked over at Emma, ugh, she's so pretty. She was looking back at me so I couldn't not do what Mr. Belford asked! So I stood up.
