Clarke's POV:
I'm making my rounds on the pediatric floor. "Hi how are we doing today little princess?" I ask this cutie pie I have been treating for the past few months. Her liver is failing and she needs a new one as soon as possible. She is on the transplant list, but she can't wait much longer. "Clarke!" She says coming and giving me a big hug. "Hey there Charlotte." I say, "where are your parents?" "They haven't gotten here yet this morning. My mom should be coming soon." It's crazy how grown up she is already. She is only 6 but talks like she is 16. All of the sudden the fire alarms start going off. "What's happening?" Charlotte asks a look of panic spreading across her face. "Don't worry we will be okay." I tell her trying to calm her down. I start walking her out into the hallway to make our way outside. As we are walking we get to the hallway leading to the door and it is on fire. "Shit" I whisper under my breath and turn Charlotte around. "Okay, Charlotte we are going to be okay. We just have to find another way out don't worry." The air is getting thicker and smoke fills the room. I pull her down to the ground and we begin to crawl. As we are crawling a part of the ceiling falls down in front of us and something falls behind us too. We are trapped. There is no way to get over these two things without getting burnt. Charlotte starts coughing like crazy. It isn't the best thing for a child with a failing liver to be stuck in a burning building. Not the best situation to be stuck in. Another tile falls from the ceiling and I roll over just in time so it misses me. "Charlotte!" I yell, "Charlotte!" I look over and she is unconscious, but still seems to be breathing. The ceiling tile must have hit her on her head and is now on top of her arm. A firefighter comes into view, "Help." I try to yell but it isn't that loud. He comes over to us, "help her first." I say pointing to Charlotte before I start coughing again. "She is unconscious I think the ceiling tile knocked her out and is now laying on her arm. She is a patient here for her failing liver. You have to help her." I tell him and then begin coughing again. He lifts the ceiling tile off her and picks her up. She looks so tiny in his big arms. "I'll be back for you. I promise. Just hang on." I can barley see anything as he begins to walk away. It is probably from so much smoke in the air and also the lack of oxygen. I don't know how much time passed but eventually he comes back. He picks me up not saying a word and begins to run. I start to lose consciousness, "hang in there princess." I try but it is getting hard to breathe and I don't know how much longer I can take it. "We are almost there, just a little longer." Finally we burst out the doors and into he fresh air. He puts me down and I fall over coughing. He pays my back and waits for me to stop coughing. "Thank you," I say with my horse voice. "I promised I would come back. I don't break promises." "How is the little girl you brought out before me?"
"She is doing fine they already brought her over to another hospital."
"Thank you, so much..."
"It's Bellamy."
"Thank you Bellamy. You saved a lot of lives today, including mine." I say while giving him a kiss on the cheek, and then we both blush. Today was one heck of a day.
