Clarke's POV:
I think I'm in love with Bellamy Blake. It all started when we first came down to the ground. I really thought he was an asshole. It didn't help that he wanted me dead. All so he could save himself. I hated him. At least I thought I did, but I think I've always been secretly in love with him. Through all of this he has been the only one to make me smile. No matter what is happening I can look into his warm brown eyes and feel safe. He just looks at me and I smile. His freckles and his messy hair make him more attractive than I ever thought was possible. And God that smirk, that smirk makes my heart skip a beat. Not to mention those muscles... damn they are quite nice.
"Hey princess." He snaps me out of my daydream, "What's up?" I can't help but smile noticing he called me princess. "Dropship now." Is all he says, "Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." He turns around and glares at me once he hears me laughing. We get into the dropship and he quickly turns around and gently kisses me. This kiss says everything for us. It says everything we can't say ourselves. "Is that it?" I smirk looking up at him waiting for his answer. "Very funny princess. But we have some business to attend to now." He actually smiles. I love his smile and the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles. "The grounders are going to attack any day now. We are just sitting ducks waiting for the retaliation from the bridge. We need to come up with a plan. So let's get to work." We spend hours in the dropship trying to come up with strategies. The only thing keeping us sane right now is that we are with each other. We help each other see the light during the darkest days.Bellamy's POV:
"There's movement in the trees. Get out here." I hear Miller yell. Clarke and I give each other a worried look before grabbing or guns and running out of the dropship. We run over to the gate and look outside. There are hundreds of grounders coming towards us. Clarke and I turn around and start yelling orders. I give one of my famous motivational speeches and then we get into position. "Hey princess," I grab her arm turning her towards me, "Be careful you can't die on me." "I will Bell don't worry. And for the record you aren't allowed to die on me either." And with that we run off to our positions and get ready to fight for our lives.
There are grounders everywhere. The foxhole I was in has fallen and we are retreating back to camp. We ran out of bullets a while ago and are relying on our swords and knives. We get back to camp and we freeze. There are bodies everywhere. Both grounders and our own people. I immediately start scanning the area for my blonde haired princess. I don't see her but I hear her. She screams. It is a deafening sound. It breaks me heart knowing that my princess is in danger. I whip around and see her struggling against a grounder. He is ten times her size and there is no way she can win. I sprint over to her side and help her in this fight. The grounder punched her in the face knocking her to the ground. I waste no time and kick him in the stomach, knocking out his breathe. While he catches his breathe I take advantage and hit him in the head knocking him out. I then stab him. We have no use for grounders alive, especially ones that hurt my princess. I look down at her. She is laying there with bruises and cuts all over her. I wish I was here sooner to protect her from getting hurt at all. I pull her up and into a hug. For this moment in time there is nothing wrong. There is no war going on around us. Our people aren't dying, they aren't becoming killers or having to grow up too quick. For this brief second everything is right in the world. Everything will always be right with my princess in my arms. "Thanks for saving me Bell." I lift her head up so she is looking at me and I kiss her. "I'll always be there, forever."
